Two days later
Katherine's POV
It has been 2 days since Alex did his exams, he received a letter from the council asking him to come to the council building as he was one of the 10 candidates that were able to pass the exam.
Of course I had to follow him ,I made sure to eat early before following him into the carriage the ride was peaceful as no one spoke,I could just feel his gaze on me every now and then.we finally arrived at the council,we went through a route I did not see the last time .
End of Katie's POV
Red moon Town*
Adrian sat down deep in thoughts he had just received Isabella's letter.He stared at it for a long time before he was broken out of his trance by his Beta."Alpha Adrian,are you alright?" she asked concerned "I am alright, Vivian" he smiled " tell the coachman to prepare the carriage I will be setting off on a journey tomorrow " he said.
Vivian stared in silence for a while,she knew where he was going but she hoped he would not leave, though she never spoke about it she had romantic feelings for Adrian but she knows he is seeing someone,she had seen the content of the letter.... he will be getting married to the lady from the De'vera's...
"Wherever are you going,Alpha? You have quite a lot of things to attend to-" " I must travel to vampire Aves,it is important " he said "But-" he cut her off and got up putting a hand on her shoulder " i am certain you will take good care of the town till i arrive" he smiled and left. Vivian watched as the door close 'i wish I was her '..
Vampire Aves
"Oh mother,I cannot wait " Isabella sat down next to her mother in the living room ,Uriel smiled at her daughter " he will be visiting tomorrow " Isabella said excited ." I have asked the maid to prepare everything " Uriel said .
"What will I do without you mother?" She said hugging her mother's side and pulled back from the hug " I am sure you can do a lot " Uriel smiled as she glanced at Isabella's stomach. She ignored her mother's odd remark and spoke "where is Alex?" " He was called to the council" Uriel replied "he got in ?" Isabella asked " he is yet to tell me anything"...
At the council building*
"It is an honor to tell you that you are now a member of the council" the head councilman spoke, the man possessed red hair that matched his red eyes, he looked around the age of 30 , but he was certainly older .
"Thank you" Alex spoke " I heard how you passed the exam like it was nothing,I must say I am impressed" the head councilman continued . Katherine sat down next to Alex watching the interaction between both vampires.
"To not waste your time any further,you may leave, I hope to see at next council meeting, councilman De'vera" he said and Alex got up to take the head councilman's hand for a firm hand Shake.
The older man glanced at Katherine " it a pleasure to meet you too, lady Katherine" she shook his hand and and Alex watched before taking Katherine's hand to exit the room , pulling her down the hallway "what is wrong, young master?" She asked with a small frown.
He did not reply but soon let go of her hand "do not shake hands with men " he said as she followed behind him " why?" She asked frowning a bit and he stopped making her stop too ,he turned his head slightly to look at her and Katherine could have sworn she saw his eyes flash an unnatural glowy color making her stagger back a bit.
He looked forward again, and started walking while she stood there, slight fear evident in her eyes ."are you planning to stay there overnight?" He asked and she started walking too , staring at the floor .
"Lady Evelyn?" Katherine heard "lady Evelyn" she heard again,the voice sounded familiar .....her eyes widened a bit as she remembered the voice 'no ,no no' she thought and continued to walk ,her pace quickened untill she was walking side by side with Alex they were almost out of the hallway until..
"Lady Evelyn!" The voice called louder and Alex turned, Katherine did the same she saw the man that had introduced himself the other day as councilman Tyler. The one she lied to about her name .
Alex watched as a man walked towards them with a smile,"lady Evelyn" he said to Katherine and Alex raised a brow staring down at Katherine that was staring at the floor avoiding his eyes.
Katherine's POV
"Oh Lord ,no" I mumbled "I knew I could not mistake those beautiful green eyes for anyone else's" councilman Tyler spoke as I finally looked up to stare at him "He- hello" I said "I was calling your name earlier seems like you did not hear me,how have you been?" He asked I could already tell Alex was glaring.
" I have been good, thank you " I gave him a tight smile,he did not seem to notice Alex standing next to me "what are you doing here, again?" He asked " I just -" I stopped mid sentence when I felt a hand on my waist and Alex pulled me closer to him and Tyler finally stared at Alex " I came here with him " I completed.
"Oh... you must be councilman De'vera, pleasure to meet you" he said with a small smile holding out his hand , Alex stared at his hand and spoke "likewise" tyler withdrew his hand with a tight smile "we must leave now ......Katherine" he added and councilman Tyler stared at me confused , I nodded rapidly "goodbye" i mumbled before I was pulled by Alex out of the building.
We got in the carriage and sat down quietly,He was staring at me ,I was staring at my hands my lips set in a thin line "you do not listen, do you ?" He asked "he spoke to me " I said "and why do you have an issue with me speaking with others" I added frowning while staring at me he only stared back not saying a word ,i scoffed lightly and looked away from him..
"Because,you belong to me" he said after a while of silence and I looked at him ,he was staring out the window
My heart pace quickened as I stared at him...
