The Evansville Mall sucked. Karen did like a wig shop and tried on a few, as she wore them a lot. She had a bad reaction to bleach one time. She was pissed at Genny for suggesting this trip and wanted to go home. Genny had something up her sleeve. What? She did not know. They shopped from nine to noon and the mall wasn't new. It was from the 1990's and Karen shittily said to herself, "This isn't new. It is so early 1990's. This place sucks and I want to go home. I don't know why in the fuck they are messing with me like this." She did buy a cute wig. "If this gets ANY worse, I am going to ask to go home," she said."Oh, we have to be there at one, so let's wrap this up. My cousin is waiting," Genny said.
"Why do we have to go see her cousin?" Karen asked DeeDee.
"She wants to see her. It won't be all day." She hoped this all in Owensboro would be better.
It was a dreary drive, she didn't sleep well. So, she just napped. "We're staying t the house. It should be fun. The house is so nice," Genny said. With closed eyes, she rolled her eyes. This friendship may be over as they knew it. Genny never used to drag her around, evade questions. She fell asleep and she saw Johnny's hands. It was just a dream. They were in front of a nice home She hoped to at least have her own room. "Do they work for the secret service?" She asked. She saw two black SUV's. "Maybe cops in the family," DeeDee said. Genny went to the door. That was weird. She came back, told Karen to bring her luggage, but they did not. This was too weird, and she said, "Look, I have been jerked around enough. I wanted to go to Chicago and I wanted to shop with my friends and you take me to a shitty mall and you're dumping me here and you two are going to do something without me? Maybe I need to call my dad."
"I surely hope not," a familiar voice said. She looked up and there he was in one of his knitted caps, beautiful brown eyes staring at her, and thin, yet loving arms open. Karen wet herself a little. It was Johnny Depp and she went towards the embrace. He smelled nice. He felt like home.
"Oh my God, I am so sorry," she said beginning to cry."We wanted to surprise you. We wrote a letter."
"I feel so bad now," she sobbed. She looked at Johnny who put his arm around her.
He was so beautiful. He was the most beautiful person she had ever seen. His hands were so soft and he smelled like Sauvage, cigarettes, and his skin was so soft. He kissed her on the cheek. "I feel so bad. I am so sorry," she said. DeeDee and Genny said, "Please, don't." She looked at Johnny and said, "I am not like this at all." He kissed her cheek again. "I will take good care of her," he said. "I will see you Sunday." "Sunday at three," Genny said. The van roared off and all she could do was stare at him. He kept staring at her. She kept staring at him. He said, "Come inside. I will show you to your room." It was a nice, simple room. She thanked him.
The house was quiet.
"Is it just us?" She asked.
"She speaks." He smiled at her.
"I am really shy and overwhelmed. I am so sorry. I am sorry my friends introduced you to someone like me."
"Why do you say that?" He said brushing her cheek.
"I'm fat. I was fatter and I have all this loose skin."
"I think you are quite beautiful. Please, let's enjoy this time. Are you hungry?"
"Not really."
"Do you want anything to drink?"
"A Coke Zero. That sounds good. I really don't drink anymore. I did that in college."
"I bet you were a cutie."
"Kind of."
SHe was in awe of him. He was so beautiful and she was so ugly. She sounded like an idiot for sure. He was probably ready for them to come get her. However, it was the opposite. "What do I do to get her to relax and talk to me? She's so scared. I am nervous." He sat next to her ont he couch and said, "So tell me about you?" She did and she grew up in a very similar home and he just listened. She asked him things and he told her. They were sort of kindred spirts. As they talked, they both said to themselves, "Wow! Why didn't we meet sooner." He got close to her. It was weird, but it was Johnny Depp, so she let him. However, he leaned in and kissed her sweetly at first, but became deeper and deeper as the kiss grew. She just looked at him.
"Are you okay?" He asked her.
"I am more than okay," she said.
He took it as an invitation for him to kiss her again. That night, they did not sleep but they talked and talked and talked. He thought a few times, "I could taker her upstairs, but this is different. I don't want to fuck her, I want to make love to her, I want to get to know her, and I want to do it one layer at a time." That night, they did stay in the same room, snuggled up to each other. She thought to herself, "He must have erectile dysfunction. He hasn't tried a thing with me." She was sort of disappointed. "I guess I am undesirable," she said to herself. She was kind of hurt, but his arm was around her. "He is just being nice because I am fat," she said to herself. She was trying not to cry, as he was gently snoring and was out like a light.
