It was a good thing that Daryl decided that they needed three hostages, instead of two, because now they were down to two.

Lamson, the one Noah said was good, knocked Sasha out and escaped and Rick went after him.

Athena was watching the police officers with Tyreese and Sasha, who looked very annoyed and angry at the fact that she let the cop play her like that.

"Hey," Shepard called out and Athena looked up at her, with her eyebrow up "You're too young to be doing this, kid."

Athena couldn't help but laugh at the police officer at what she said "Man, you have no idea how wrong you are." She chuckled and shook her head "I've been doing this since before the world went into this shit, officer." She then looked back as she heard the door of the warehouse opened and Rick walked in "And I'm not as young as you think I am." Athena smirked at the officers before she walked towards her father and Rick.

"What happened?" Daryl asked when he noticed that the leader was alone.

"He wouldn't stop," The ex officer replied simply with a shrug.

"This change things?" the marksman asked.

Athena gave them a look "They're gonna be missing a cop. They'll be looking for consequences."

"It has to." Rick nodded, agreeing with the Dixon girl.

Daryl shifted his weight from onto his other leg "Maybe not."

"Well, she said the plan won't work. the guy who did it is dead." Rick reiterated "Maybe we gotta rethink this."

"So what are our options?" Athena quizzed, crossing her arms.

"They said the cop in charge didn't have any love for him. Maybe you did her a favor." Daryl suggested.

Rick let out a breath "I don't know if they'll play ball."

"Let's find out." Daryl said as the trio approached the remaining officers, kneeling down in front of them.

Shepherd spoke up, "He was a good man. He was attacked by rotters. Saw it go down."

Rick hummed, "You're a damn
good liar."

Athena smirked as she crossed her arms "She's a cop. Of course she is."

"We're hanging by a thread here." she responded, "He was attacked by rotters. That's the story."

Daryl shot her a suspicious look "You said the trade was a bad idea. What changed?"

"Lamson was our shot. So it's this or you go in guns blazing, right?" The woman ensured.

"Seems like it." Athena muttered.

"You don't want that."

"If this is some bullshit yer spinning and things go south-" Daryl pointed at her.
