Late Night Messages

Tulalang nakaupo si Primo sa paanan ng kaniyang kama, hindi maalis si Miara sa kaniyang isipan.

He feels free. He never once imagined that speaking to someone about an ugly past can be this freeing.

Yes, it's probably because of the late night calmness that urged him to overshare—which is making him worried that he creeped Miara out—but at the same time, he knows that Miara's not judging him.

Even he doesn't know where these thoughts are coming from.

Fuck, I need to sleep! He thought.

Nang makahiga na siya sa kama ay hindi ito makahanap ng kumportableng posisyon. When he finally settled on sleeping on his left side, his phone lit up.

Mabilis siyang bumangon at saka tiningnan ang mensahe.

Miara:

I'm also glad na rito ako napadpad hehehe

And also, i hope i didn't ask nosy questions. I will NOT bring it up next time.

He smiled. Unsure if it's about the "I'm also glad rito ako napadpad" part or the fact that she actually messaged him.

Primo:

No, it's okay. Really.

IF you're a fan of hers, I hope this doesn't change how you see her.

She wasn't the best "romantic partner" but so was I.

It took a lot of courage to admit that he wasn't exactly the boyfriend material Cleo wanted, but at the same time, not invalidating his feelings.

It was a difficult process—something he doesn't like sharing—which is why it's bugging him that he shared it to Miara so easily. She didn't even force him to answer her. He just did.

Miara:

Napangiti si Primo dahil sa nabasa. He's not a fan of external validations but Miara's message is comforting.

Nang maramdaman ang sarili na nakangiti, mabilis siyang umiling-iling.
