They all travelled back to La Carlota the following day. Kahit pagod ay masaya si Miara.
Thankfully, hindi na sila ulit nagkaroon ng interaksyon ng ina ni Primo. Rinig niya na mas maaga raw silang umalis.
Sinamahan ni Primo si Miara sa kanilang bahay. He helped her unpack even though he was constantly yawning.
"Matulog ka na lang... kaya ko naman 'to," ani Miara at ginulo ang buhok ni Primo.
Nakasandal si Primo sa gilid ng kama habang tinutupi ang mga damit ni Miara.
"I'm almost done, sugarplum munchkin," Primo answered teasingly.
Napailing-iling na lang si Miara at inayos na ang kama. Plano niyang matulog pagkatapos umalis ni Primo.
True to his words, Primo finished folding the laundry after a few minutes. He bade his goodbye with a kiss on the cheeks. Namula naman tuloy si Miara.
Katulad ng pinlano ay natulog si Miara. When she checked the time, it was already evening. Ilang oras din ang ginugol niya sa tulog dahil sa pagod.
Kanina pa nagri-ring at nagva-vibrate ang phone niya ngunit hindi niya iyon ininda. Pero ngayong nakapag-recharge na siya, nagulat na lang siya nang makitang sobrang dami ng notifications niya. Madami rin siyang missed calls.
Hindi pa niya nababasa ang ni isa sa mga mensahe ngunit kumabog na ang dibdib niya. She felt something wrong and it's making her nervous... and cold.
The last time she felt this way was when...
Miara interrupted her thoughts and shook her head.
Kahit parang nasusuka dahil sa kaba ay binuksan niya pa rin ang iMessage. Madaming text doon ngunit may isang nangingibabaw. It was from an unknown number.
With shaking hands, she clicked the message.
And just like that, everything that she has been hiding from found her again. The secret she tried hard to bury and forget was, once again, unearthed... and hunting her.
Akala niya ay nakatakas na siya. Her used-to-be frequent nightmares stopped... but it's now back.
She clicked on the link that was with the message. She didn't have to play the video to know what it contains.
She already knows what that is. And she already knows that all the progress she worked hard for are nothing but wasted.
Binitawan niya ang phone at napahikbi na lang. She's helpless all over again... she's ruined all over again...
What's worse is that she knows that the people whom she really likes—Fico, Atien, Mav, Ciara... and Primo... especially Primo... will leave her because of this.
The user didn't just post that video but she tagged them all. Hindi na siya magugulat kung pati mga tiyahin ni Primo ay may kopya na ng video.
The message had only three words with an emoticon... and a link... but it was enough to make Miara's world crumble all over again...
