Chapter 17.

Rishi

It's been 2 days since the dinner.I had a good time with others after such a long time. But it all had come to end. By that I just mean I had to go back to work at like 2 in the morning because of an emergency. During the dinner, we all chatted and had fun. Though something was definitely off about Siya she didn't let it show.

I feel like an asshole because I haven't talked to her in those 2 days. But it's not like I don't want to. This is one of the worst things about my job. I don't get enough time with my loved ones.

"Nahi maa, kal nahi aa sakta. Shopping he toh karni hai aap mere liye kar lo na." I spoke through the phone as I opened my lunch box.

I could feel her losing her patience each second but there's nothing I can do about it. "Jab ek thappad padega nahi tab tak tu manega nahi na? Angoothi tum baccho ko chunn ni hai toh tera kaam hoga. Accha tu he bol kab free hai."

"Uhh parso shaam ko jaa sakte hai." I said as i mentally checked my schedule.

"Pakka na? Toh main Vidhya ji ko puch lu." She asked.

"Haa pakka puch lo. Mummy main baadme baat karta hu abhi khana kha raha hu." I bid goodbye and she returned her 'bye' and then hung up.

Just as I was about to eat my chicken tikka masala in my mouth, fucking Ravi burst through my door.

"Muje chain se khana khane do na yaar." I whined as I banged my head on the table.

I didn't realise Yug is with him until he yelled out,"Chachu!!" He ran towards me and jumped on my lap.

"Mere sher!! Tu he hai jo muje samajta ha-" I stopped myself once I saw him eating my lunch. "Papa ghar pe khilate nahi hai kya?" I asked him to which he just giggled and continued munching on my lunch but not before feeding me a morsel.

"Muje kuch zaruri baat karni hai." Ravi said as he sat on the opposite side of me.

I looked at him still chewing the bite that Yug put in my mouth," Toh bol."

"Avy ka cut gaya hai." He said in a serious tone. This only made me laugh out loud.

"Kya!?" I sputtered out, still laughing.

He scoffed," Has le abhi, usko aane de. Uske koi client usko chunna laga kar 50 lakh le kar bhag gaye. Usko bola tha ki woh log par bharosa nahi kar sakte lekin bhaisaab ko toh alag he chul machi hai."

Before I could say something Avyansh barged through the door with Arjun trailing behind him,"Bhenchod mere paise le gaya!!" He exclaimed.

Ravi cleared his throat and sharply pointed a finger at Yug who was sitting on my lap, who was engrossed in eating MY lunch.

"Rishi woh Het ka dost haina, toh tu usko bol ki seedha seedha paisa vaapis karde varna uske saath jo main karunga woh accha nahi hoga." He seethed out. Avy ran a security company and also contributes majorly to the mafia world which is ran entirely by Arjun(who is also the CEO of a publishing house). Avy just helps in certain situations. Ravi is a well known real estate agent.

"Main kya kar sakta hu Arjun ko bol,aur vaise bhi Het bhi sala harami hai apne doston keliye kuch bhi kar sakta hai. Humari madat toh woh bilkul bhi nahi karega." I replied.

Arjun let out a dramatic sigh," Don't worry, I've sent orders for my team to start their work. Aur chuu-hey thoda dimaag se kaam karna agli baar, agli baar aisa hua toh yeh log kya main bhi tuje nahi baccha paunga." He corrected himself remembering the presence of Yug in the room.
