I absolutely loved the month of October! So far the first month and a half of 6th grade has been boring. Nothing really happened. The only new thing that happened this year was switching classes. In my school instead of 7th grade being the first year you switch classes, it is 6th grade. I caught on pretty quick. I honestly like switching classes than having one teacher. The day goes by quicker and I enjoy having different people in my class than having the same annoying kids everyday all day. I arrived at school, and met my friends in the quad. I had tons of friends. I usually hung out with Summer and Lina. Lina came last year in 5th grade. Her first friend was this girl named Kailah. Summer and I aren't friends with her. We think she is a bit weird, which is saying a lot because everyone in the 6th grade calls Summer, Lina, and I the weirdest girls in the whole school. Being called that doesn't offend us, we just own it. I met Summer in 4th grade when I first moved to Rio Grande. We weren't friends at first, I usually hung out with my friend Elizabeth. We don't hang out anymore, but we are still friends. Anyway it wasn't until end of 4th grade that we became friends. I remember when I found out she was in my 5th grade classroom I was upset. I thought she was super annoying. I mean she is, but we became best friends in 5th grade. Since then Summer, Lina, and I have been unstoppable.

I sit in my seat for science, my homeroom. My teacher, Mr. Soule, told us what we had to do and we worked on it. I look around and notice an unfamiliar boy sitting in the back. He had blonde skater boy hair, freckles that only appeared on his nose, and blue eyes. He must have been new. I turn to my neighbor, Jackie Miller.
"Who is that?" I ask her.
"How should I know," she snarks," He is probably a new kid." I roll my eyes. Jackie is the meanest girl I have ever met. She thinks she is better than everyone, but actually she is not. I don't understand why she is so rude to everybody. Jackie is a ginger with no soul. I used to think she was nice in 5th grade, but I was wrong.

"Do you know who that new kid is?" I ask my friends at lunch. They look at each other confused.
"We have a new kid?" Lina asks obliviously.
"Yeah he is in my science class and my language arts class...Wait!"I blurt," Lina you are in my language arts class! How did you not see him?" She shrugs.
"I don't pay attention," she replies.
"Oh well I am not in any of your classes so I would not have seen him,"Summer pitches in," Is he cute?" I shrug. I don't know much about guys. I am not boy crazy like all the other girls. I honestly don't understand. I look around the cafeteria for the new kid. I spot him sitting next to the jock boys, Kobe, John, Bryce, Trevor, Jake, and Blake. I guess they found someone new to join their group. All those boys are pretty mean. Summer used to like Blake, but now she doesn't. All of Blake's friends make fun of her. I don't know why they find that amusing. Blake has light brown hair that was always in his eyes, he always had this stupid look on his face, and he was kind of chubby. Jake came last year, he is probably the cutest of all of the boys. He is skinny, has brown hair that is really short, and a cute smile. Trevor has blonde hair is styled pretty much like Blake's, and he has brown almost black eyes. Bryce has blonde spiky hair, he has freckles all over his face, and blue eyes. John has black skater boy hair, weird eyebrows that go down the bridge of his nose, and very pale skin. Kobe has short blonde-brown hair, and green-err grey....actually I am not quite sure....hmmm? I guess he has green-grey eyes. I don't know why, but I used to like Kobe when I moved to this school. I was in 4th grade and he was the cutest boy I saw. He was my teacher's son, which is a little weird. His mom is Mrs. Short, who was my 4th grade teacher.
