I Want to Forget

Chapter 11

"Snap out of it!" Snaps Kailah. She was snapping her fingers in front of my dazed face, trying to get my attention.

"What!" I startle.

"You haven't spoken this whole lunch period, what is wrong?" Lina asks worriedly.

"Oh you know.....Eric...." I swoon. My friends groan at my newfound feelings.

"Seriously, you need to stop this," Summer demands.

"Why won't you support this? I am getting over......uhh whatever his name is."

"Kobe!" Summer exclaims," His name is Kobe and you are absoulutley head over heels for him!"

"Summer do you realize how long it has been since I have seen him?" I tell her," It is the end of October, Halloween is in a couple days, and I haven't seen Kobe since the end of May!"

"Who cares if you haven't seen him in 5 months! You still have feelings for him," Lina tells me.

"You know what, I am going to hang out with my new friends."

"And who are your new friends?" Kailah sneers.

"Oh you know, the seniors." I grab my lunch and strut over to where the seniors were sitting, Stella, Terra, Brittany, Eric, and the only non- senior, Jackie.

"Hey guys," I greet them.

"Hey Paris," they reply.

"Are you going to eat that?" Stella points to my carrots.

"No....."I reluctantly hand her my carrots.

"Perfect, now I can see in the dark," Stella says eating the carrots. Everyone at the table gives her a weird look.

"What?" She asks cluelessly.

"Uh are you going to explain your carrot theory?" Terra asks.

Oh, you guys didn't know?" We shake our heads," Well carrots are supposed to give you night vision." We look at each with odd looks, then let it go because it was Stella and she is a little......off.

"Oh Paris, you are invited to my Halloween party," Brittany tells me.

"Cool when is it?" I ask.

"Umm on Halloween..."

"Ok, I will try to make it."

"Make sure you tell you boyfriend," Brittany informs me."

"My boyfriend?" I ask confused.

"Yeah the blonde kid who went to the club with us a couple weeks ago."

"Oh he isn't my boyfriend, I am single," I project my voice towards Eric, hoping he heard I was available.

"Oh, well make sure you tell him."

"I will."

I sit in the library surrounded by Lina, Summer, Kailah, and all of my guy friends.

"So the girls told us what is going on with you, and we are quite worried about you, Paris," John starts.

"Yeah, it isn't right for you to be over Kobe so quickly," Bryce finishes.

"Hold on, you people told me to get over Kobe, and I did, but now you are telling me that I shouldn't be over him? You don't make any since," I tell them.

"I know, but it was just so sudden. It is unhealthy," Carson tells me.

"You shouldn't be telling me what is unhealthy, fatty," I snap. Carson backs down, looking hurt.
