The harsh winds and rain filled the atmosphere. It was a gloomy September day. I enjoyed cloudy and gloomy days, but the winds prevented us from going outside. That was a problem because we only had outdoor hallways at my school. We only stayed in one classroom the entire time. The school didn't want to get in trouble for letting the students outside when the air quality was so horrible. The weather was fine, until school started and the students were already in the school campus. Basically we got to sit in one classroom playing board games the teacher provided us with, for at least 7 hours. If I knew the school wasn't allowed to let us outside during bad air quality days then I wouldn't have even bothered coming today. To be honest I have never even seen air quality this bad, and I live in the town with the worst air quality in all of California. We have had windy days like this, but never this bad. Unfortuantly we weren't allowed to go to a different classroom, so I was stuck with people I hate. I was in most of the smart classes and none of my close friends were. I was stuck with all my guy friends, Carla, Alex, Kate, Rain, other smart jock girls, and oddly enough Toby. I don't know how he got in the smart class, but "lucky" me I get to spend 7 hours with him. I sit on my desk and look at my phone. I feel someone's presence near me. I peek over the top of my phone and see Toby. I give him a death stare and continue looking at my phone, completely ignoring him.
"Paris, please talk to me," he complains. I don't answer him. "Come on, what do I have to do to get you to speak to me again."he continues whining," Look, I am sorry, I shouldn't have blamed you for my problems, and I am really stupid." Toby looks at me with a pleading look in his eyes. I give him a hand gesture saying "Go on"
"Ok and I deserve to be shunned by you forever, but you should give me another chance. I am a stupid brain......and I am such a new kid. Also I am a.....um I am a....Oh! I am such a CreamSausage!" Toby exclaims. I put my phone down and look at Toby into his beautiful blue eyes.
"I forgive you," I tell him.
"You do!" he replies excitedly.
"Yeah," I respond looking at my phone again," Just don't talk to me." Toby's smile falls off of his face. He gives me a worried and confused look.
"B-but you forgave me, w-why can't you talk to me?" he stutters.
"Because you insulted me," I shrug.
"So did Bryce, but you two are friends." I put my phone down and a smile appears across my face.
"Yeah but Bryce was kidding the whole time, even though it hurt, he was just kidding, and I can easily forgive him for that. But you played with my feelings, purposely. I can forgive you, but we can never be friends. I may have hated Bryce, but I hated you much more," I answer. Toby gives me a depressed look, and he walks away slowly. I look back at my phone. I was going to talk to Toby, but I want him to want to be friends with me. I want him to feel how I felt. As most people say, "Revenge is a dish best served cold."
"So how is your class?" I ask Summer over the phone. I have been stuck in this classroom with people who annoy me for 2 hours. I was on the phone with Summer because I seriously needed to talk to someone on the outside.
"Annoying, do you know how it feels to be stuck with stupid people all day?" Summer asks.
"Well do you know how it feels to be stuck in a classroom with annoying boys who are now your friends, but are also friends with both of your old crushes? One of them is half way across the country and the other is a jerk?" I reply
"Oh yeah I forgot, you are stuck with all of them. I am so sorry. If it makes you feel any better I am stuck with Carson, and he is fat."
"OMG you are so mean Summer."
