I plump my lips and fluff my hair. Now that I liked Toby, I had a legit reason to look good all the time. Who am I kidding, I always look good. I don't know why I was doing this, I never did it while I liked Eric, but....its Toby. He remembers me as a nerdy 6th grader, wearing Skechers and putting my hair in pigtails. He hasn't seen me like I am now. This is me trying to impress someone, and I was really good at it. I slip my heels on, feeling confident in myself. Here I come world, single and ready to mingle.

------------------------

"Wow Paris," Summer awws," Who are trying to impress?"

"No one," I reply.

"Well....this "no one" must be super cute," Kailah says sarcastically.   I roll my eyes at her comment.  I notice Toby and his friends heading over to where we were hanging out.

"Hey boys," Lina greets waving at them.

"Hey ladies," Carson greets flirtatiously.   I notice Toby just staring at me.  I give him a weird look.  Bryce notices me looking at Toby.  He nudges Toby and he stops staring. I smirk at his boyish behavior. I look around the courtyard and notice Stella, Terra, and Brittany talking with each other.

"Sorry, but I have to go talk to my other friends...over there," I inform the group.

"Can I come?" Toby asks.

"Oh...sorry I have to talk to them about private stuff."

"Oh..ok." Toby looked hurt, but what he didn't know is that I was going to talk to my senior friends about Toby. I mean they are older and have more dating experience than I do, so they might know a solution to my problem.

"Hey guys," I greet them.

"Hey Paris," Stella waves.

"Is something bothering you?" Terra asks.

"Yeah kind of. I have to tell you something, and you can't tell a soul," I gravely tell them.

"Ooo tell us!" Brittany looked desperate to know my juicy gossip.

"Well a few days ago I found out that Toby likes me," I confess,"Then I started to like him.."

"So what is the problem?" Terra asks slightly disappointed.

"Uh that is my problem."

"Oh sweetie," Brittany giggles,"That isn't a problem. That is probably the best thing ever."

"I know but I can't date," I tell her.

"Why not?" Stella asks.

"Because my mom won't let me."

"Who cares, just tell the guy you like him. It won't do any harm,"Terra advises.

"Well no guy has ever liked me. How do I deal with this kind of situation?"

"I can't really help you there," Brittany tells me.

"Just follow your heart!" Stella blurts out.

"That is so cheesy,"Terra rolls her eyes.

Ring! Ring!

The bell rings. I wave goodbye to my friends and head to my class.

                  ------------------------

I arrive at lunch and sit at my usual table. I gave a lot of thought on how I was going to handle this situation. Should I tell him? Or should I not even bother because I can't even date? A very angry Lina sits at the table.
