CHAPTER 65

Halos hindi ko magawang humakbang papasok sa restaurant kung saan kami mag uusap ni Levi. We agreed to meet here at 7 pm, it's only 6:45 and I wanted to get here much earlier than Levi, I didn't expect him than he's in here already. Akala ko ako ang mauuna. Akala ko magiging komportable pa ako sa aking upuan bago pa man dumating si Levi.

It turns out, mapapaaga lang pala ang aming pag uusap.

"hi" I must have frightened him because I think he hadn't notice that I'm already here.

"Lera" he called, standing up.

Oh my gosh, he even brought me flowers?

I bit my lips as I sat in front of him. Subrang lamig ng aking mga kamay at halos hindi ko na maramdaman ang aking pisnge sa subrang kaba. Nabibinge narin ako sa tunog ng napakalakas na tibok ng aking puso.

"kanina ka pa ba?" pano ko ba sisimulan?

Hindi ko alam ang gagawin at sasabihin. Hindi ko maalala lahat ng ginawa naming plano ni Sandra.

"kararating ko lang din" paliwanag niya.

"para pala sayo" ini-abot niya sa akin ang kumpol ng pulang rosas.

Ramdam ko ang init sa aking tenga. I wanted to just ran outside this restaurant.

"please stop laughing" i said seriously, my voice almost cracked.

Levi looked at me, his body trembling from laughing and I think he just held his stomach from doing so.

"seriously?" then there's panic written in his eyes as he glance at my hands on the table. Dahan dahan kong ipinakita sa kanya ang singsing na ngayun ko lamang naisuot sa public.

"we've been married before the school year started?" I spoke

"Hace Vinagracia?" he asked, as if he's having a hard time on processing the information "the infirmary Doctor?" he asked again, narrowing his eyes on me, his forehead furrowed.

And I nod. At this moment that's all I could say. And it's enough.

"Does everyone know?" he asked
Everyone means?

"from the university, sinong nakakaalam?" he rested his back by his chair and waited for my answer.

"no one" I answered

"Sandra?" subrang damming tanong ang nakikita ko sa kanyang mga mata. I didn't know what to say, if he asks me, then I'll answer every question. I think he deserves that.
