Chigiri points at karasu and otoya, the pair frowning back at him. "Just how much did this all cost...?" Hyoma turns to reo.
"Not much. I don't know, maybe like--the average cost for most things?" But to reo, what was average--and not to mention 'most things.'
"What like a yacht?" The redhead whispers sarcastically. "So besides those two, who else is coming?"
"I'll stay here." Nagi yawns still messing with the scrambled letters.
"I'll keep looking around. And I'll also keep an eye on those two..so they don't break anything." Reo looks to the two off in a corner as they try to figure out if any of the wall was hollow.
"Isagi you comin'?" You ask crouched down slightly in the tunnel, having taken notice of his awkward stature. He looked like he wanted to go with but was weirdly shy to speak up and say that he wanted to.
"Oh yeah..! hold on a sec.." He mumbled the last bit as he caught up to you and chigiri.
"Fuck..did reo say that this would be a horror escape room?" Your long haired friend unconsciously kept finding your hand in the twisting tunnel that grew increasingly darker. His hand grazed over yours for the millionth time, a small 'sorry' then fell from his lips.
But why was he apologizing?
So instead of a verbal response like 'it's okay', you slowly reach out for his hand and interlock your fingers in his.
"Oh shit I'm sorry.." Chigiri flinched and pulled his hand from yours at the sound of isagis voice that echoed from much behind you. "I didn't mean to step on you..!"
You'd already made it through the small dark patch--the one part that the light had died, and now you could see pretty well. Especially as you enter into a room with a lit up tile in the middle that was bright green.
You hadn't noticed that isagi wasn't behind you as he can sometimes be pretty quiet when he's around you.
And now as you turn around..you realize he must still be where the light had died out and stuck in the dark. Backtracking to the sound of yoichi's voice, you see the fuzzy outline of him facing the wall. "You didn't step on anyone, c'mhere." You encase his hand in yours and lead him out of the dark.
He quietly followed behind you, his fingers lightly squeezing your hand. If it wasn't so dark, and if you were looking at him..maybe you would have seen the blush that smothered his cheeks.
"Wait..!" It didn't take very long to get back to the room, as it actually wasn't far from the original room--you all just walked a bit slower through the dark. "I..I stepped on that green part of the floor." You stopped right outside the room, watching as tiles would light up red and moved around the room with a new green patch in the middle.
"I think we have to press all the buttons before the timer runs out." He motions towards the timer on the wall that kept counting down. Isagi runs in and pulls you with him, timing it to avoid the two moving red squares that circled around the room.
"So you think we just have to hit them all in order?" Isagi says as he hits the button with a one above it. Chigiri nods his head and sprints towards the button with a two, nearly stepping on the red on his way back to the middle.
"Shit, we've got little over a minute now.." Isagi watches you run to the third button and hurries after you to the fourth. He jumps as high as he can to avoid the red that suddenly switched directions and went backwards.
A sudden and unfair change to say the least..

Now you'd pressed fourteen of them, there was twenty so just about ten more seconds or so and you'd win.
You sprint to the fifteenth and a voice you hadn't heard before suddenly boomed through a speaker.
"𝗟𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹 𝘁𝘄𝗼."
The red squares that you'd avoided decently easy up until know, sped up and rushed towards your feet. Fuck.
Chigiri who had pressed sixteen once level two began, sprinted at you and pulled you into the safe zone. His arm having been placed on your lower back and he used your wrist to tug you towards him onto the green. You were forcefully pulled into his chest, feeling his chest heave and his heavy breathing in your ear.
"T..thanks." Your heart beat begins to increase. "You've gotten faster since we were on the same team." Saying this was your attempt to ease what you were feeling.
You two were so close.
"I'm fast in other way to you know." He says looking at you with a smirk. A look isagi directed at chigiri changed his smirk into a playful smile and then he let go of you. "Kidding."
With twenty seconds left on the clock, you each quickly adjust to the new speed of this round and press the remaining buttons--completing the game.
In front of the timer, that now had stopped with 3 seconds left. A key dropped. A worker must have dropped it in with a button or something. It hung from the ceiling by a string.
Isagi grabs the key, "What do you think this will do?" He smiles now next to you, watching as your long haired friend made his way back go the main room. He slightly extends his hand towards yours, but before he's close enough to touch you--he slowly retracts his hand.
