It has been six years since Rick Grimes 'death'. Everything changed after his disappearance. Daryl lives in the woods using every chance he could to look for Rick's body. Michonne closed the gates of Alexandria for good.
A few months after Rick disappearance, Michonne, Xander, Rhea and Daryl had been through something awful, that changed all of them. Michonne stopped all contacts with the other communities for good.
Maggie had taken Hershel and she left Hilltop, leaving Jesus, Rhea and Xander in charged of everything. After many, many, many 'discussions' they decided for Rhea to be the leader, Jesus her right hand man, just like when Maggie was here.
Rhea was also one of doctors in Hilltop along side with her best friend Enid and Xander was there to help his wife whenever she needed it and also he was one of the blacksmiths.

Rhea was climbing the stairs of the mansion as she walked towards the couch next to the stairs. There she saw her husband with Jesus waiting for her.
"Okay I'm here what's going on?" Rhea asked them as she sat down on the couch next to Xander and looked towards Jesus, who was sitting down on a chair in front of the couple.
"I got a list of people that would want to talk to either one of you." Jason said as he looked down at his list.
"Ahhhh, we are sure you are Paul." Xander said with a smirk on his face.
Jesus rolled his eyes at them and went to stand up "Fine. I'll just leave this here and you can deal with it."
Rhea quickly shook her head at him "Ah, ah, ah, no sit your sweet ass down. We're listening. I have twenty minutes before I have to be back to the infirmary with Enid." She said.
"Okay. Tammy Rose wants to expand the crop fields, but she needs to see how far she can cultivate. Enid still needs more room in the garden for medicinal herbs, which I'm sure you already know about Rhea." Jesus said to her, as she smiled and nodded her head. "Alden, also needs your okay to send another team out to scrap metal. There's a noice complaint from trailer seven. And there's this."
Jesus handed Rhea a list and she looked at it, while Xander looked at it over her shoulder. "Congrats babe you are re-elected leader of Hilltop." He teased her with a smirk, but his smirk fall down as she elbow him in the ribs.
