The group found themselves in a nasty situation. Their path towards Eugene was cut off by walkers. The man was stuck somewhere in a barn, but without a way to him, he'd remain there. Even if they did go around, the walkers would still be an issue.

They were just circling in one area like a pack. It was unnatural.

Xander was crouched next to a tree with Aaron and Jesus, while Daryl went to do a headcount of the walkers with Dog.

When they came back, Daryl wasn't impressed "It's about one hundred and thirty, one hundred and forty of them."

"Why are they just lingering there all huddled up?" Xander questioned in confusion.

Jesus turned around to Aaron, "Have you ever seen them do this before?"

"No. Never." Aaron shook his head.

'Something wasn't right' Xander tought to himself, as he watched the walkers in a thought.

Daryl scanned the perimeter "Rosita's back trail goes right through 'em. We should get the horses, circle around, then we'll pick it up on foot."

Xander turned towards his father in law "What about them?" He jerked his head towards the horde.

"What about 'em?" Daryl repeated with a shrugg.

Jesus frowned "They're just milling around. That's not normal." He shook his head.

"Paul is right." Xander murmured.

Daryl acknowledged that "I know. It ain't. We should go. There's a storm coming. Dog!"

With that they left.

Not without being noticed by someone slinking around among the walkers concealed as if one with them.

In the fields, the wind rushed was creating a breeze. Daryl was pacing in the front, holding onto his weapon. That was until Daryl stopped. Through the wind, the groans carried across with echoes like whispers. Judging by the increase of volume, the herd was catching up to them.
