It's been months, Jake is now the one who handles his dad's company. Closing the last file he threw it on the table, poking his cheeks and grabbing his face in complete stress.

He was breathing heavily, too fed up with everything when his gaze suddenly fell on the small picture frame of Raya that was placed on his desk.

He reaches out to it slowly and lifts it up, staring at it ever so lovingly and getting lost until he sees his tear drops on her picture. He wipes it off immediately, scared that it'll be stained as he caresses the frame gently with his thumb.

"I'll get you back love, just wait for me"

He breaks down, pressing it close to his chest when he was suddenly interrupted by a knock.

He wipes off his tears immediately, fixing his posture and placing the frame back on the desk before he answers the person with a low 'come in'.

He expected it to be one of the employees as usual but he gets a bit  surprised to see Heeseung instead.

"What bring you here?"

Jake questions and gestures for him to take a seat. Heeseung walks over to his desk and sits down infront of him.

"So you're not going to ask where I have been or how have I been doing, but it seems more like you wanna shove me away from here"

Jake chuckles and shakes his head, declining as he adjusts himself on the chair.

"Where have you been though genuinely? I just remembered that I last saw you at Raya's house."

"I was out for some business related stuffs"

"Oh, I see"

Jake replies and gets up, walking over to the table of drinks.

"What about you? Your eyes looks puffy, is everything alright?"

"I couldn't get proper sleep last night"

Jake cleared his throat, proceeding to pour the drink in a glass for Heeseung.

"And Raya?"

His actions halts once he hears the words from Heeseung.

"Uncle said she moved to states to complete her studies, is that true?"

Jake lets out a hum and walks over to Heeseung, handing the drink to him before going back to his seat.

"C'mon, atleast put some efforts, it's too obvious that you're lying"

Jake looks up at him for a second and sighs before diverting his gaze.

"So, are you going to tell me now?"

Jake looks back at him and leans in his chair, giving him a tired nod.

"Let's grab a drink"

*****

Sipping onto their drinks they sat across each other, as Jake explained him about the situation.

"Who was that girl again?"

"I don't remember her name, all I remember is that she used to be an employee in here but not anymore, I sued her career and her whole fucking life."

Heeseung lets out a small chuckle of admiration when he saw Jake fuming in anger at the mention of that girl.

"Hmm, I never know you'll be a lovesick puppy"

Jake looks back at him with a glare before gulping down his drunk.

"Well, I did told you everything but I don't think you'll be a help for me."

Jake pauses in between to give Heeseung a disappointed look.

"Because if you do, you wouldn't have came asking about her to me."

"And how are you so sure?"

Jake looks back at him with a surprise expression, waiting for him to say something more.

"Did you lied to her and your parents about where she is?"

Heeseung asked again, leaning against the chair and tilting his head.

"I didn't, she did before leaving"

Jake looked down and stared at his knuckles which was turning white due to being clenched tightly.

Heeseung hums as Jake looked back at him, waiting for him to continue the talk that he left in between just now.

"Why are you staring at me?"

Heeseung gives him a questionable look as he sits straight.

"Do you know where she is?"

"What if I say I do?"

"Stop playing around and spit it"

Jake gets up, shooting a glare to him whilst Heeseung scoffs.

"Boss around your wife only, not me"

Heeseung says back, hiding a smirk and knowing how easily he can piss Jake off.

"I should have found you earlier"

"But you thought I'll be of no use for you isn't it?"

Jake sighs, whilst a smirk lingers on the corner of Heeseung's lips.

"Can you tell me?"

"Now that's the deal"

Heeseung gets up, gesturing for him to follow as he walks out of the cafe.

"Listen, she don't know that I'm here and telling you about all this, fix things with her once you'll get to see her."

Jake looks at his side and stared at Heeseung's side profile, not believing that he's actually helping him.

He then stopped walking and turned to Jake, showing him something in his phone and giving his back a pat.

"You go first, I'll be there too"

Jake looked up at him, his eyes sparked a little as he felt a strange feeling in his stomach.

Letting out an overwhelmed laugh, he pulled Heeseung in a bro hug, trying his best to not to get emotional in front of him.

Heeseung just laughs it off and gives him assurance by slapping his back gently and trying to cheer him up, and before he bids him farewell, he stops him to say these words to him.

"I'm risking my friendship for you, don't disappoint me"

Heeseung says with a quite serious expression as Jake assures him in return and runs to his destination. Heeseung laughs at him again and yells out.

"Good luck lover boy"
