Chapter 14

Aditi was running wiping her tears. Her mind was full of doubts. 

Why did he lie to me? Just then she slowed down to a walk. Her eyes were moist, her small step was getting heavy. 

Just then someone held her wrist and pulled her back. Aditi noticed that Yug was looking at her with impatience. "Aditi," his voice was subdued. Aditi waited for him to elaborate.

 "I am sorry. I had wanted to tell you earlier, but the day you expressed your hatred towards rich people and their misuse of power, I couldn't gather the courage to confess. Please believe me, Aditi, I never intended to hurt you." saying this, he took Aditi's hands in his and caressed her fingers with his thumb.

She withdrew her hands slowly and asked with hesitation, "Is that all you have to say?" She turned around and was about to take a step forward, but Yug held her wrist again and pulled her with a jerk. Her back collided with his chest. 

He interlocked his hands with her, and wrapped his arms around her, "I love you, Aditi. You can get mad at me; you can slap me, and I won't mind if you reject me. But please Don't leave me. I beg you, please Aditi. Please." Aditi sensed his quivering voice and trembling hands as he fought back tears.

Aditi's patience broke and she turned to face him. She looked into his eyes and hugged him tightly, trying to comfort him. "Please don't cry, Yug," she said. "How could you beg a girl who is of no worth in front of you? You are-" But before she could finish her sentence, Yug stopped her by placing his index finger on her lips.

"Yug..... I love you too."  Yug gazed deeply into Aditi's eyes as she confessed. As he realized the sincerity of her feelings, his pain melted away and his heart began to bloom, like a flower unfolding in the sun.

He cupped her face and said in disbelief, 'Say that again.' 'I love you, Yug,' Aditi said, smiling at him with tears filling her eyes. Yug was on cloud nine hearing these beautiful words. He hugged her and twirled her around in the air.

"Aditi chuckled and hugged him back."

"Wow, my brother is so happy," Vivaan said, wiping his watery eyes like a child. Vidhi glanced at him with an exasperated expression, "Such a melodramatic person you are! Who would ever cast you as an actor with no acting skills?" she remarked, her expression softening as she watched the couple embrace joyfully.

"Excuse me." 

"Excused," Vidhi said smiling. 

Before he could utter another word, she exited the scene, with Vivaan following close behind.

Aditi stepped back, and Yug placed his warm palm against Aditi's cheek, ow flushed with a crimson hue.  Aditi, I need to tell you something. May I? It is a little disturbing." Aditi nodded to permit him. "So............
