Yug was busy chit-chatting with his friends while Aditi was getting bored sitting at the counter asking for soft drinks awkwardly. Just then a man leaned against the counter looking at her.
A man approached Aditi and asked for her name. Aditi introduced herself politely. However, before they could continue talking.
Ishaan interrupted their conversation and spoke to the man. Ishaan told the man, whose name was Neel, that Aditi was a promiscuous woman who had tried to seduce him at a party.
Aditi was filled with instant hatred towards him and was about to hit him, but someone came up between them, acting as a barrier for Aditi.
"Ishaan Say that word one more time and I will kill you on the spot. "Believe me, I won't even regret it. But since you're forgetting your limits, you need a tonic for that," he said with a smile, gesturing towards the hall's screen.
It was a video in which Ishaan was forcing himself upon a girl and she was crying for help. He took her to a room and a loud scream tore through the hall, ending the video.
Aditi clutched her ears at the sound of the scream, as tears began to stream down her face.
Abhay was the one who exposed Ishaan's wrongdoing. Aditi panicked and ran away from the hall. Abhay sighed and followed her until she disappeared in the darkness.
Abhay closed his eyes and sensed her presence. He took a few steps forward and leaned down to get a closer look. He noticed that she was trying to cover her ears and control herself while crying. She kept repeating the words, "Please leave me alone. Nooo, please, please..."
As Aditi spoke, her cries grew louder with each sentence. The pain in her voice was palpable, and Abhay knew he had to do something to comfort her.
He gently caressed her hair and pulled her into a warm embrace. "I won't harm you. Calm down, no one will hurt you as long as I am alive," he whispered to her. She wrapped her arms around him, feeling safe and secure in his embrace.
Slowly and steadily, Aditi's grip loosened, and Abhay sensed she had fallen asleep.
Though she was still sobbing softly like a child, Aditi clutched Abhay's collar tightly with one hand, her face buried in his neck, making his shirt slightly wet with her tears.
He swept her up in a bridal carry and guided her to his car, tenderly setting her on the back seat.
Removing his coat, he laid it over her to protect her from the chilly breeze. Then, he took his place in the driver's seat and quickly drove away from the party venue.
He called someone and said, "Your friend had a panic attack again. Come outside your building i will drop her."
*Time lapse*
Abhay carefully placed her on the bed and draped a blanket over her. He then turned to face Vidhi, who was seething with anger.
"What's the issue, Abhay? Can't you stand to see her happy? If you're aware that such things remind her of her past, why go through with it?" Vidhi was trying to understand his seemingly unaware intentions.
Abhay stayed quiet, gazing at Aditi's peaceful face as she slept. He then picked up his coat and walked by Vidhi without a word.
Vidhi disregarded him and took a seat next to Aditi, gently stroking her hair. She was serene, unlike the last time Vidhi had witnessed her panic attack that left her listless for two days. This time, however, she was tranquil, sleeping soundly.
"What did Abhay do to calm her? It's the first time she has been peaceful after a panic attack; otherwise, it's usually very difficult to soothe her."
Why did Aditi have a panic attack? How did Abhay manage to calm her down?
