Aditi dashed into the hotel, soaked to the skin from the heavy rain, shivering from the cold. Following her, Abhay brushed back his wet hair, his shirt clinging to his muscular frame, now transparent.

The receptionist couldn't help but gaze at his striking figure.

Rushing into the elevator, Aditi pressed the close button before Abhay could step in. With a playful smile, she teased, "Aww, poor Kunwar sa."

As soon as the elevator doors opened, she saw Abhay smirking at her, one hand casually resting against the wall.

Aditi stepped out and exclaimed, "Five floors so quickly? How?" Abhay pulled her closer and said, "You won't escape, Princess." Aditi gazed up at Abhay, his face the epitome of perfection.

His eyes were as serene as the sea, and his nose, just perfect. His wet hair dripped water onto Aditi's neck, sending shivers down her spine.

Suddenly, her gaze fell on his lips, and she quickly looked away. Her heartbeat accelerated. She pushed Abhay aside and hurried to her room.

ABHAY'S POV

How angelic she is! The water droplets glistening on her neck and the water dripping from her jhumka make her look so beautiful.

After our marriage, I noticed she only wore suits and saris. I was trying to figure out how she changed so much. Even now, her hair is always tied in a loose braid, but before her hair were either in a ponytail or left open

Why did you change, Aditi?

I noticed that Aditi's clothes were wet, and she only had one pair left for tomorrow.

I went to my room and fetched a shirt. Since she was only going to sleep, she could wear it for now.

Author's POV

Abhay stood in front of Aditi's room.

She cracked open the door and peeked out. "You came again," she said, irritation in her voice.

"I came to give you my shirt; wear it and sleep. I know you don't have night clothes," Abhay replied, his smile charming.

"Stalker!" she exclaimed, reaching for the shirt when suddenly, her eyes caught sight of a man with a masked face aiming a gun at Abhay.

Abruptly, she grasped his hand and pulled him into her room. At that moment, a gunshot rang out. Aditi turned to Abhay, her face tense with concern. He gently held her face and reassured her, "This is routine for me, Aditi. Don't worry, your ex won't let me live in peace."

Abhay's shirt was half-buttoned as he was in the midst of changing when he decided to offer her his shirt. That's when she noticed a bullet scar on his chest.

She was drawn to it, her fingers tracing the outline of the scar. Abhay watched her, a silent understanding between them, when suddenly another shot was fired, followed by three or four more, and then silence enveloped the corridor once again.

Abhay stepped out and saw Karan wiping blood off his hands. Approaching him, Abhay inquired, "Knight or Pawn?"

Karan met his gaze and replied, "Pawn. It was all planned, sir. There was something suspicious about your room, so we moved you to a different one." Abhay nodded, turning to see Aditi, who was completely baffled by their conversation.

Abhay gently pushed Aditi's hair behind her ear and said, "Go and sleep, princess. We have to leave tomorrow."

Aditi departed without a word.

Abhay entered his room, unbuttoned his shirt, and glanced at his chest. The scar had vanished. With a smile, he murmured to himself, "Thank you, Princess."

*Engagement*

Vidhi, dressed in a blue lehenga, resembled a princess. She donned her earrings and glanced at Aditi. Aditi returned the smile and gently kissed her forehead. Sliding her finger under her eye, she took a bit of kajal and applied it behind Vidhi's ear as a protective charm.

Karan entered and announced, "Ma'am, Sir has instructed me to escort Vidhi. You will accompany him."

Aditi was on the verge of arguing when Vidhi pressed her hand and shook her head, signaling her to remain silent.

Aditi rolled her eyes and exited the room. Karan smiled at Vidhi and complimented, "You look beautiful, Vidhi. May God fill your life with happiness."

Vidhi returned the smile and departed with him.

Aditi entered Abhay's room. A maid standing downstairs glanced at another and remarked, "Our madam is so fortunate. Kunwar sa, adores her so much that no one else is allowed on that floor, let alone his room, and yet she is always welcomed without even needing to knock. May God shield them from the evil eye."
