Yug's father, perplexed, exclaimed, "Who the hell are you? And what do you mean by 'this time'?"
Aditi released Yug's collar and lifted her mother. At that moment, police sirens encircled the area. Arjun managed to carry Siya in his arms and headed towards the entrance, disregarding the crowd behind them.
*In the Hospital*
Arjun gazed at Aditi, who was smeared with blood, fighting back her tears. A surge of mixed emotions filled his heart, and he felt a wave of compassion for her.
He took a seat beside her and gently suggested, "Aditi, please go and change. I've brought you some clothes. After that, they can tend to your wounds as well."
Aditi initially refused, but after some persuasion, she finally agreed and went.
*Arjun's POV*
Abhay was the one who suggested I go and assist Aditi. I seriously didn't know why he was orchestrating all this until I met her in person.
I'm not sure if I'm right, but Aditi, there is definitely a connection between us—a very ancient bond that we share.
Just then, my phone started vibrating. It seemed like an important call, and I thought I had to leave. However, I couldn't just leave her alone in her current state.
Glancing around, I noticed Abhay. Although I had many questions, for the moment, it was okay to leave her in his care. I instructed the nurse to bandage Aditi's wounds.
Turning to Abhay, who was simply smiling at me, I said, "Abhay, I need answers to all the questions you've pulled me into, and please take care of her. I'll be back soon."
*Author's POV*
Abhay nodded as Arjun departed. Smiling at his retreating figure, he said, "I will take good care of Aditi, Arjun, not just today but from today until my last day."
Abhay turned to see the nurse fastening a bandage on her forehead.
Just then, the doctor emerged and said, "Aditi, I need to speak with you." Aditi nodded and followed the doctor to her office.
Abhay waited until Aditi returned. With tension evident in her movements, Aditi opened the door, clutched her necklace, and sat on the bench.
The doctor appeared, signaling the start of the surgery. As Kunal approached, Aditi's gaze met his. "Abhay sir wishes to see you. He's currently in the hospital," he informed her. Aditi turned away, replying, "I have no desire to meet him. If he's here solely for me, ask him to leave."
Kunal, looking downcast, attempted once more, "Perhaps he could assist with your financial troubles. It's not about you, ma'am. I understand you're a woman of self-respect. But it concerns your mother, doesn't it?"
Feeling helpless and knowing her mother was her vulnerability, Aditi realized she had to speak with Abhay.
She opened the cabin door and entered to find Abhay seated, his legs propped on the table, idly twirling a pen.
Aditi entered and asked, "What is it? Why did you call me?" Abhay replied, "My secretary must have informed you. I will provide everything you need."
Aditi noticed that Abhay was serious. She was reluctant to agree but felt she had no other option. Abhay passed her a document and instructed her to sign it to proceed further.
Aditi began perusing the file when her gaze abruptly shifted to Abhay. She closed the file and banged it on the desk.
"What on earth is this complete rubbish?" Aditi yelled at Abhay, who was still grinning at her. "What's this bizarre clause you've inserted into the file?"
Abhay replied with composure, "May I reiterate it for you? So listen... I will give you money, and in return............. YOU WILL MARRY ME TONIGHT."
Why does Abhay want to marry Aditi? What relation do Arjun and Aditi share?
