A week had passed since Abhay took the throne. Aditi was merely an observer to all that unfolded. She had attended interviews, yet none bore fruit due to Abhay's rejections.
He desired her presence in his company, not merely as his spouse but recognizing her immense talent in her domain. She possessed the acumen to establish her own enterprise.
Abhay observed Aditi's tranquil form in slumber. Though they shared a room, a barricade of pillows always split the bed.
Engrossed in his laptop, Abhay's attention involuntarily drifted towards Aditi. Realizing his focus was compromised, he shut his laptop and approached Aditi.
She was sleeping peacefully. Abhay admired her innocence and simplicity as she slept. Suddenly, Aditi's body began to stir slightly. Her face tensed, and she moved her head. Finally, she awoke, shouting, "KUNWAR SAAA!!!!!!"
Abhay embraced her, resting her head on his chest to calm her. Aditi cried incessantly, clutching his hands tightly. Her nails dug into his skin, but he was unfazed.
Aditi looked up at his face, sobbing, "Ever since we started living in this palace, I've had strange dreams about a girl falling into a ditch. Sometimes I hear a woman's screams."
Abhay understood this was not easy for her. He soothed her, and gradually, she fell back asleep.
*Next Day*
Karan was sitting in the hall working on a file, dressed in his usual office attire. Suddenly, Vidhi emerged from the kitchen and Vivaan from his gym. At that moment, Vidhi caught sight of someone at the entrance, smiled, and exclaimed, "Riya, you're here! I was waiting just for you. Aditi is still asleep."
Riya dashed inside, abandoning her bag to embrace Vidhi warmly. Karan, indifferent to the scene, was heading to his room when Riya's eyes landed on him, and she was momentarily captivated.
"How handsome!" she murmured, snapping out of her reverie as she turned to Vivaan. Vidhi made the introductions, and with a smile, Vivaan mentioned he had to leave for a shoot.
As Riya awaited Aditi, she finally spotted her descending the stairs, adorned in a lightweight pink lehenga.
Riya leaped forward and embraced her. Aditi, taken aback by her sudden appearance, let a smile spread across her face. "This is my surprise for you, Aditi," declared Vidhi. Aditi returned the smile and embraced her in return.
From upstairs, Abhay watched them and found himself smiling. It had been days since Aditi had smiled so freely. As he caught himself smiling at the sight of Aditi, his heartbeat quickened.
"How can I still harbor the same feelings for her as before? I've tried to distance myself from these emotions, but they only seem to grow stronger," he pondered, his hand instinctively resting on his chest.
Aditi's gaze drifted to the entrance, where the rain was pouring down heavily, her thoughts returning to the previous night when Abhay had been comforting her.
She excused herself and went back upstairs, peering into the room to find it empty. "Maybe Abhay has already left," she thought. Approaching the balcony door, she slid it open, stepped outside, and extended her hands to feel the rain.
With a smile, she spread her arms wide, allowing the raindrops to caress her body. Meanwhile, Abhay entered his room carrying a file, intending to sit on the sofa, but the sound of anklets caught his attention.
He glanced outside and saw Aditi reveling in the rain. Observing her, his heartbeat quickened, and he found himself losing control once more. Compelled, he too stepped out into the rain.
As the rain intensified, he approached Aditi and urged, "Aditi, it's pouring. Come inside." Aditi shook her head, refusing to move.
He grasped her hand firmly and implored, "Aditi, you'll fall ill." She retorted, "Why does it matter to you?"
Abhay drew her in close and declared, "Because I am your husband, Hukum Rani Sa."
Aditi found herself captivated by his gaze, seeing nothing but love for her. Unwilling to acknowledge this, she stepped back, asserting, "So what? You're just my husband. We don't share feelings that warrant such concern for one another."
Aditi was on the verge of leaving when Abhay grasped her hand and said, "Talk about yourself, Aditi. I have deep feelings for you, understand?"
Aditi attempted to pull away, retorting, "What feelings, huh? You only used me to claim the throne, as marriage was a requirement. What now?"
Abhay gently held her face, gazing intently into her eyes, and said, "Because..."
Aditi completely got blank. Abhay couldn't control her being so close to her. He joined his lips to Aditi's and sucked all the water from her lips. Aditi closed her eyes and Abhay's finger moved to her hair and got stuck. His one hand wrapped around her waist.
Aditi hands were still. Abhay was kissing her so passionately that he won't leave her for lifetime. Just then clouds thundered and Aditi got back to her senses. She pushed Abhay and slapped him.
"How dare you kiss me? I told you to stay away from me." hearing this Abhay lost his temper and kissed her again but this time it was very forceful and brutal.
Aditi wasn't able to push him due to his power. When Abhay realized Aditi's face turning hot he left her. She got tears in her eyes and said, "How can a devil like you love someone?"
Aditi fled in tears. Abhay shut his eyes and turned his head, clenching the knife in his pocket so tightly that his hand began to bleed. Anger surged within him for causing pain to the girl he had grown to love deeply.
*Nighttime*
Karan had been searching for Abhay everywhere. Finally, he discovered him by the pool, surrounded by three bottles. Abhay was visibly intoxicated, his eyes bloodshot. Karan snatched the bottle from his hand and exclaimed, "Sir, you never used to drink or smoke. Why did you drink so much?"
Abhay picked up an empty bottle and hurled it to the ground, shattering it completely. Crying out in anguish, he exclaimed, "I love her, Karan. Why can't she see that? I brought her here to use her in my quest for ultimate power. But she's become my Achilles' heel. She's reawakened the human in me. Her smile is my smile, her tears, my agony. I am happy only with her and she is happy with everyone except me."
Karan went back to past hearing his words.
What happened in the past? Will Aditi accept Abhay's love?
