Author's pov
Swetha and Anand go inside just in time to watch their parents nodding their heads away, seeing them they call them to sit with them.
"namaste aunty, uncle" anand said to Swetha's parents and they nod their heads smiling
swetha does the same saying namaste to Anand's parents
"i saw our kids at the museum like i said and thought they are perfect match for each other" Anand's dadi said to Swetha's dadi while she said "yes, yes"
"we did not know that anand is dating your daughter" she said to swetha's father
"i asked him about family intentions but...you know kids these days they want to feel comfortable before telling family". he explained
"it is our kids fault" Anand's mother said
"no, aunty i interrupted...sorry, but i just got out of a relationship so i asked him for sometime" swetha said
"ohh, i understand beta..."his mother said
"let's not think about the past, lets worry about the future" dadi said and swetha's father nodded with "ji"
"beta, do you like anand? will you marry him?" she directly asked swetha
" yes, i like him... but"
"she likes him", they did not even let swetha complete the sentence..."dadi listen to what she has to say..."anand said but dadi did not listen
everyone hugged each other and swetha's father and anand's father started discussing things, while dadi took me outside to talk to me separately.
"you might be thinking that i have interrupted your dating phase but trust me that was not my intension beta"
"no dadi i don't mind" swetha said politely
"i proposed marriage this fast are you angry?" she asked and i nodded "i am not angry but i feel confused still, i am just out of a long distance relation ship...i wanted to give time to myself"
"i know, you must be the type to forget yourself when loving someone, so you suffered....i am moving this fast because of my anand"...swetha had a question mark face and she explained
"anand was never interested in women- so many of them went to his office and hi schedule places but he did not care, neither did he look at them, this is the first time he did"
"you are the only girl he has accepted, as well as i know him, he is never wrong- he must be waiting for you , i am sorry that i am taking the decision on your behalf but i wanted you both to get married early because it will be beneficial to both of you, you will be each others constant support"
swetha did not like that she is almost rushing us both literally in to this marriage but she wanted to listen to her side, it is truth that anand is very supportive of her
"i will make sure of your well being and everyone in the family will take care of you don't worry". she said "please get married asap" she continued.
"but what is the rush dadi?" swetha said..."there is no rush- if you like someone you have to go to the next step right, i think anand is worthy of your next step" she said
after discussing the marriage and sending birth charts to the priest they left waving. swetha went inside to watch her family being genuinely happy after a long time and sighed
she don't know what she want so, this may be a good step she guessed , but she could not get this nervousness out of her mind , she was panicking, so she ignored him for a day ...
