Chapter 145: Outpost 22

SEVERAL HOURS EARLIER

Athena was in the apartment that Jisung was sharing with the girls, during his time in the Commonwealth. Angel was packing her bag, putting all her things in it, while the Dixon woman was packing her daughter's things in her bag. She couldn't wait to go back home.

"Aunt Athena, when do you think dad and uncle Binni will be coming?" The teenager asked her aunt, as she put her bag on her back.

Athena put an item in the bag, as she shook her head "I don't know, Angel. I hope soon. I want to go home already."

Jisung had been taken for questioning about Eugene, while Changbin was with her father in the church. They told each other to meet at the meeting point near the gates to meet with the others.

Athena suddenly felt sick and weak, as she rub her stomach. The stress from the past few days were finally taking a toll on the Dixon woman, but also her pregnancy.

"Mom are you okay?" Corina asked her mother in consern, as she noticed how pale she was looking. Angel also looked towards her aunt in concern.

Athena placed her hand on her daughter's head and smiled at her "Yeah, baby I'm fine." She then kneeled down in front of her "Can you do me a favor and get some more of your clothes? It'd be a big help."

Corina nodded before jogging to her room, whilst Athena went over to the kitchen island where her weapons were laying. She groaned quietly, putting her head in her hands, trying to stop the banging headache she was feeling. She stood like that for a few minutes, trying to stop feeling so sick and the headache.

'This pregnancy is definitely bigger pain in the ass, than the first one.' She thought to herself.

"MOM!" A voice screeched.

"AUNT ATHENA!"

Athena snapped out of her trance, and she turned around to see four men in the house, two of them were dragging the girls out of the room harshly.

The other two men were aiming for Athena. She rushed over to the nearest kitchen drawers, taking a knife out. She was about to slash at the nearest person, but she was easily beaten.

One of the man punched her in the face. Athena held her throbbing jaw with one hand whilst thrashing again. She managed to slice one of the men's arms, however he didn't spill any blood, but the other man behind her had a needle in his hand.

Athena felt a sharp pain in her neck, making her gasp. She spun and dazedly sliced at someone behind her, although her vision was blurry.

She dropped to her knees, arms around her head to try and get rid of the ringing in her ears. The knife clattered on the ground below her and was kicked away by one of the men.

Corina screamed as she watched her mother dropping to the floor, before everything went black for the two of them.
