SAN

"Welcome.", a monotone voice followed at the ringing of the bell.

San tiredly walked into the building, blending naturally with the calm and quiet atmosphere of the cafe. It was usually bustling with people during the day, which only started recently.

Rumours went round that the cafe grew popular since the employment of a new teenager who was apparently a gift to man.

It was only a month into the new school year and the piles of work sitting for the latter to do had him exhausted and beyond tired. He wouldn't be surprised if he walked around looking like a sleep deprived zombie because he'd been living off of coffee in the past two days, trying to finish off assignments.

He adjusted his beanie, rubbing his hand down his face as he made his way to the counter. Sooner or later, someone came out. San wasn't bothered at first, glancing over the menu knowing full well he'd get the same drink.

"Americano please.", San decided finally taking a look at the person who would be taking his order.

San nearly scoffed. This had to be the rumoured beauty. He had thick black locks with bangs that fell to his face, down to his shoulder, covering majority of it. He had a strong coffee scent. Effects of working at a cafe. San couldn't make out much of his face but he had pink lips and when he looked at San, he noted the dark eyes and the beautifully shaped nose.

After he tapped some button, San used his phone to pay for his order and found a spot in the cafe to sit. He fished his phone out of his pocket, immediately slipping his AirPods on and zoning out. He knew his seniors had been texting him all day on his unfinished works but chose to ignore them. They never knew how to give someone a break.

Sometimes he questioned if studying music as a major was the best choice he made but music had its own benefits. For one, music had a way of settling his nerves and making him feel at peace with the world.

Even with all the chaos that'd been going on around him a lot recently, he would always find comfort when he was sprawled out on his bed, volume at the maximum and listening to voices of those who he could relate to. Some nights he'd use it to cry himself to sleep only to wake up the morning and pretend like it would be a good day.

Moments passed and a coffee was placed in front of him. He took one AirPod out and glanced up. It was the same boy. Being closer allowed him to notice the beauty mark on his lower lip.
