SAN
San passed the ball to Mingi again since he was the only one available and watched the taller display the same attitude he'd displayed with Seonghwa during the tournament. He was not passing that ball to Yunho. And Yunho was retaliating every chance he got. The two would give each other cold, hard, penetrating glares, attempt to knock each other out with the ball or try to trip each other up. San was watching them back and forth and had never even seen Yunho put up such a childish attitude. He was starting to think that Mingi suddenly showing up for practice was a bad idea.
At the end of practice, he was quick to grab Mingi's arms, his bags and head outside, ignoring his never ending questions. They managed to find a bench to sit on outside and San pulled out the banana milk he'd brought to school as well the strawberry milk he was planning to give Wooyoung but never got the chance to speak to him all day. Come to think of it, when he saw him with Yeosang and Yunho that morning, he looked way cuter and brighter than he'd seen him before. That was before Yeseul snapped him back to reality. He shook his head and gave Mingi the strawberry milk.
"I was actually saving that for someone else but since I'm about to give you an earful, I'll let you have it."
Mingi stuck the straw in it, averting his eyes, "Saving it for your girlfriend?"
"No. Anyways. What has gotten into you?"
"I don't know what you're talking about.", Mingi spoke with the straw between his lips.
"I'm talking about you with Yunho. Is there something going on I should know about?"
"Surely he must've told you. He seems to have more friends that he can trust than I do cause of his stupid over friendly personality."
San sighed, "Are you jealous of him? For having more friends?"
"No. I just feel like I get divided attention from him."
"But you're the one who decided to stop talking to him. After... you know..."
Mingi rubbed his face and groaned, "I don't know what I'm doing, I really don't. Like, I'm confused. Before that happened, I was starting to see him in such a different way that scared me. His smiles were prettier, his hair was softer, his baby powder scent was stronger, everything about him just started standing out to me more than it's done all these years. Every time, he got too close to me, my heart would beat so fast and I got scared he'd hear it so I pushed him away. I don't know why I felt that way but I just did. When he asked to talk about this, I ended up crossing the line. I made the first move. How was I meant to face him after that?"
