SAN

San sighed out loud, the disappointed look on his face still persistent. He felt like he'd let down Hongjoong again. And he'd lost to Seonghwa. The guy had managed to get with his best friend's crush within two months and San was sure he didn't even need to try.

But Haneul said he couldn't go round ruining relationships for his or anyone else's benefits. So he would just have to stay put. He also couldn't bring himself to tell Hongjoong the news either.

San entered the school building to the music department contemplating how to actually have a conversation with Hongjoong without being too obvious that he knew something. San was a shitty liar after all. He wouldn't be able to tell a fib to save his life.

Thankfully he ran into Chan first and he seemed disappointed too. The corner of San's lips turned up as he approached Chan.

"Channie hyung!"

Chan slowly turned around.

"You don't look too happy."

"Is it that obvious?"

San nodded.

Chan sighed, "I don't know what to do. And it's the first time I don't know what to do since I always know what to do."

San's chuckled awkwardly. He wasn't lying. Chan always knew what to do.

"Do you want to talk about it?"

"We've got classes starting soon. Maybe next time. Hopefully by then I'd have figured out what to do."

San nodded again. Much enthusiastically this time and made his way to class with the shorter male.

He could not focus.

He could not, for the love of him, fucking focus.

Because all that was going through his head was the night before caught Wooyoung and Seonghwa kissing, the night Seonghwa came to Meraki and hugged him which led to San leaving and giving them a space, the fact that he'd let his best friend down, and the fact that amidst all this he was so jealous it was gnawing at his brain.

Why was he jealous? He did not know.

But when he caught the two that night, for a split second, he wished he was in Seonghwa's position instead. San slammed his head against his desk and the sharp pain was what drew him back to reality instantly as his head sprung up. He earned a few looks from people as if they knew he was going crazy.
