SAN
"What's with the long face?", San asked Wooyoung that night at Meraki. He'd been sulking the whole day, not once cracked a smile or even attempt to look at San. He muttered a little "nothing" in response.
San sucked in a breath, "It's less fun when you're not bright you know. You're the reason I look forward to coming here."
San tried to pout but Wooyoung still wasn't interested. He was mopping the floor, his face still as down as they'd look when San came in.
San cleared his throat, "Do you want to talk about anything?"
Wooyoung shook his head.
"Then.. do you want to go out next week? There's a new indoor trampoline park that recently opened. A lot of people go there for fun. I was gonna invite Yunho and Yeosang too but it can just be us two if you need some space."
Wooyoung glanced at San for the first time and San could've sworn he'd been crying.
"Yeah..", Wooyoung managed, "That'd be nice."
San felt his chest well up in pride after managing to get the guy to make small talk. He was still concerned as to why he was so down for the whole day.
He noticed it first during lunch, while he was next to Seonghwa. He looked so conflicted, confused and upset. Eventually he asked to leave for a few minutes. San gave him a while before leaving too. He walked past the bathroom and returned only to see Wooyoung washing his hands like the world would end.
Wooyoung had some odd habits. He easily got irritated by the smallest things that people would've usually ignored. He had an obsession with cleaning and a generally clean environment, everything had to be in order and done a particular way, according to Yeosang, he often got irritated after every dance class even though he never showed it and would always have to stay back. San did check on him once or twice without going in and he was convinced the guy was overworking himself. And now the excessive hand washing.
San knew Wooyoung wouldn't speak even if he was asked so decided to make the younger feel more comfortable and safer around him.
He walked Wooyoung back to the dorms, trying to engage in conversations but as expected, he received half-hearted responses.
The following week, he waited outside his dorm to take him to the park like he'd promised.
He was out after a few minutes and he seemed to be in a much better mood than the previous week. While San wore a plain black shirt with plain black trousers, Wooyoung wore a long sleeve shirt underneath with another short sleeve shirt on the top accompanied by his infamous baggy trousers.
