Peter was still angry about what happened. They were currently riding through the forest, to the How, or whatever that may be.

He couldn't believe how Laura had acted. According to the dwarf, she had ruled and protected Narnia on her own for 1300 years. Why wouldn't she be happy she finally would get some help? He couldn't help but think that maybe it was his fault. Maybe she was angry at him for not being immortal like her, then they would've been able to keep dating after all.

But what bothered him the most was how she had taken charge while they were away. She had always told him she couldn't be a queen -because of her mother-, that she didn't want to be a queen. Yet here she was, commanding everyone around and acting like she was better than all of them. It infuriated Peter. He and his siblings were kings and queens, not her. She was the guardian, the protector. It was them who would bring the Narnians peace again, like the dwarf had told them, right? Deep down he knew he shouldn't think like that. He should be grateful, she had protected Narnia while they were away. And above all, she was alive. She was back. Yet his stubborn and arrogant side took over, letting the former thoughts take over and blaming Laura. It also didn't help Laura was riding in the front of the colonne, next to Caspian, talking and laughing like they were best friends. It should be him up there. It should be him who made her laugh, not that jumped up Telmarine.

Then the centaurs slowed their pace. A clearing came into view, the grass spreading out. On their left, their was a building, almost like a temple. Next to the temple, there had a small war camp been set up.

A crowd had already started to form when they arrived at the temple. Laura faced them.

"Narnians!" She shouted. "The Kings and Queens of old have returned!" The crowd cheered. Then, she dismounted Nightshade, and walked into the temple. Caspian mounted off his steed as well, motioning for the siblings to follow.

The crowd stood on either side of the entrance to the temple. The siblings walked inside alongside each other, heads held high and Caspian just behind them while the crowd was cheering for them. Peter felt satisfied. This is how it should be. As they entered, Caspian shouldered his way through the siblings, then turning around. He spread his hands.

"Welcome to Aslans How" He told them with a smile "Follow me" He turned around again and started to walk. He led them through various corridors, occasionally pointing things out. Finally they arrived in a big round room. They all looked around in astonishment, recognition written over the siblings faces. It was the stone table, which stood in the middle of the room.

Caspian turned around to the siblings once more. "And welcome, to our war room"

In front of the stone table, with her back to them, Laura stood. She was looking at some sort of maps, which were all spread out over the stone table.

Caspian walked up to her. "They're here" He told her.

"I know" She responded, before gathering all the maps, folding them up and stashing them away. In the meantime, a few other Narnians like the little mouse had come in.

Laura turned around, facing the others. "Let the war council begin." Then she turned to the siblings, still that cold look on her face. Peter couldn't help but notice how awfully she looked like her mother when she did that. "Tell me" She demanded "What you saw on your way here."

So Peter told her, ignoring her cold stare. He told her how they got here, how they met the dwarf. He told her about Miraz, who is now preparing for war, because his nephew (he did his best not to glare accusingly towards Caspian) ran away and joined the narnians. He described their weapons, their catapults, their manpower. When he was done, it was quiet. Laura nodded, averting her gaze from him once again. She gazed to the walls, clearly deep in thought. Everybody had their eyes on her, clear they were waiting for her verdict. Peter felt his anger building up inside him. Like he couldn't come up with a good plan.
