For us to save time, Severus uses Apparate to transfer us closer to the Central Hall. The sudden appearance makes me falter a bit, but thanks to Severus, I won't fall. "Never getting used to that." I sigh and fix part of my clothing a bit that are pretty ragged by now. Just when Severus is about to say something, we hear a scream coming from around a corner. Both of our heads snaps towards the sound and we lift our wands. Right around the corner we see two people running along the Central Hall. It's Hermione and Ron. They are running hand in hand away from none other than Nagini itself! "We gotta help them!" I start running to the rescue. Severus rushes after me:"(Y/..- Wait!", "Confringo!" I swift the wand in my hand as soon as I get close enough of the Horcrux. Immediately when the curse gets in touch with its scales, the snake lets out a hiss and the spell bounces off, which then hits the roof somewhere in the distance. What..?!

All three of them - Ron, Hermione and the snake stopped and turned around to look at us. "It cannot be killed with a wand, (Y/N)." Severus suddenly points out, keeping the eyes on the enemy whole times as we both now stand twenty meters away from it. "And you couldn't tell me that before I went after it?!" I exclaim while watching how Nagini has now taken an interest in me instead of the young couple. "Any genius plans, badger?" Severus mocks quietly while getting prepare for the attack. "Me?! You're the one with the brain in this relationship!" I snap back. Nagini hisses while slithering towards, showing the sharp teeth that once killed my beloved niffler. What are we going to..- Quickly, Severus shoots another blasting curse on it - which obviously didn't work, and the spell again flies somewhere further away.

Nagini hisses again, this time more aggressively and began to slither faster towards him. "What are you..-?!" I gasp confused and realize the man next to me has walked away from my side further away. When I try to come after him, he extended his arm without taking the dark eyes off of the snake:"Stay there!". "But..." my voice crumbles down, confused what is he doing. Hermione and Ron are holding each other close further away, extremely frightened what's going to happen. As Severus gets more and more further away from me, I realize; he's trying to lure it away from the children - and from me. Oh, no you don't! The grip around my wand tightens and I blast the snake again:"Hey!! Eyes up here!". Again, the spell bounces somewhere away and snake's target has changed. Now Severus raise the eyebrows:"Wh..-?! Don't be a fool, (Y/N)!". I ignore his censure and keep the eyes on the enemy the whole time with stern glare. I won't let anything bad happen to him.

It all has now basically become a duel which one of us can get Nagini's attention. While blasting curses at it and avoiding its attacks, I'm trying to figure out how can we actually kill it. Dropping part of the roof of its head might give some damage. Right when my focus goes to the ceiling above us, Severus sees this and uses this opportunity to use his wand at me:"Depulso.". In seconds, a shoot of spell flies right at me. Had no time to dodge and I go flying:"WAH!!". "(Y/N)!!" Hermione gasps baffled. Ron is watching all of this in shock. After the Banishing Charm had throw me on the broken marble staircase, I quickly raise myself on the elbows:"WHAT THE HELL, SEV?!". But then I realize, Severus did that so I wouldn't intervene any further - to get me out of the way. Nagini is now extremely pissed and has decided to make its attack on Severus. His focus on the snake gets interrupted when another Death Eater flies to the scenery, and tries to hit Ron and Hermione with a curse. Just in time, he gets to block Death Eater's attempt, but won't realize how Nagini is now slithering with such a high speed towards him. The panic hits when I see there's nothing he can do to stop it. "SEVERUS!!!" my scream echoes around the castle.

It all happens in blink of an eye: As fast as I can, I use the Apparate spell to transfer myself from the staircase right in front of the love of my life to protect, so my back is leaning against him. Nagini makes the attack by shooting its sharp teeth ahead, coming for my throat from below. It's in a movement that cannot be stopped. Severus's eyes widens when this happens and gasps:"(Y/..-!!!", "HYAAAHH!!!" familiar boy's war cry carries to our ears as he swings a sword and cuts the snake in half just when the deathly teeth were an inch away from the throat. And just like that, the Horcrux turns into dark dust before our eyes. Huh?! Now it all feels like it has turned into slow motion as we all stare eyes wide at this happening and this cool breeze goes thru us, making our hair float there for a second. It got all quiet after that. The last Horcrux... It's now been destr..- Pair of arms wraps around me from behind, pulling me in for embrace. "(Y/N)..." Severus whispers out of relief. Sev.
