"Ivy," Olivia says gently, shaking the innocent blonde from her sleep. "Wake up baby girl."

"M-m-mommy," the small child whines. "I'm still sleepy."

"You have to go to school," Liv says gently, stroking her hair. "Come on, I need to be at work soon too." Ivy whines, stretching and sitting up to face her mama.

"I don't feel well," she whines, "I don't want to go to school."

Olivia feels Ivy's forehead and it's only slightly warm. "You'll be okay," she says, getting up and getting some clothes for her daughter.

Ivy continues to whine all the way to school that morning. Olivia hates being the bad guy, but she can't keep her home every time she says she doesn't feel well, besides, she has her own things to do. She walks into the precinct and towards her office, "Morning cap," Fin says and Olivia smiles at her good friend.

"Good morning everyone," She says, walking into her office and sitting at her desk, the door open. She looks at her photo of Ivy on her desk and sighs.

"They grow up fast, don't they?" Amanda says from the doorway and Liv smiles sadly.

"They sure do," she says, removing her glasses and motioning for Amanda to enter. "What's up?"

"We just got the DNA back from yesterdays rape kit," Amanda says. "Fin and I are running it and trying to find a match, just wanted to keep you in the loop."

"I appreciate that," Olivia smiles. "Let me know as soon as we get something."

"Got a hit," Fin says, walking in. "Want us to go pick him up?" he asks and Olivia nods, putting her glasses back on and opening her laptop. She has lots of her own work to catch up on. Being the captain and a single mother is hard work, but she's happy her life the way it is right now.

Two hours later she is outside the interrogation room, watching Amanda and Fin work up the suspect. She sighs when her phone starts ringing.

"Benson," she answers. "Okay, I'll be right there," she says, knocking on the glass of the interrogation room. The detectives come out and Liv turns to them. "I have to go, that was Ivy's school," she sighs. "Fin, you're in charge. I'll be back soon."

"Sure thing Cap," Fin says as Olivia walks away.

She rushes to the school and into the nurses office. "Ivy?" she calls out, seeing her baby girl. "Are you okay?"

"Ms Benson," The nurse smiles. "Ivy is okay, she has been vomiting this morning and she has a bit of a temperature."

"Oh my baby," Liv says, picking Ivy up and holding her in her arms. "She needs to be off for 48 hours?" she asks and the nurse nods. "Okay, let's go."

"Mommy I told you I felt sick," Ivy says and Liv pouts at her.

"I know, I'm sorry I made you go to school," She says, carrying her to the car. "Listen baby girl, Mommy needs to go back to work for a while," she says. "You can play in my office though."

"Yay," Ivy smiles. She has grown up around the NYPD, they are all her friends and no matter how sick she feels, she is always happy to hang out at her mommy's work.

The drive from the school to the precinct doesn't take long. Liv purposefully picked the best, and closest school for her daughter to make life easier in situations like this exact one. "Okay," Liv says, holding Ivy's hand as they walk inside. "Your colouring book and pens are still here from last time," she smiles, leading her into her office and putting down her bag.

"I have some stuff to do, I'll be out here if you need me," Olivia tells her daughter, closing the door to her office. The precinct was mad today, people everywhere. Ivy was in her own, quiet little room away from it all.

"What did I miss?" Liv asks as she walks over to Fin's desk.

"Guy lawyered up, we're trying to dig up as much dirt as possible on him while we wait."

"Good," she says. "Carisi, what about your case?"

"We think we've got our kiddy fiddler," He says. "Couple of unis are about to bring him in."

"Alright, good work guys," she smiles.

A few hours pass and Liv once again stands outside an interrogation room, her arms folded as she watches.

"Hey Cap," Carisi says, poking his head round the corner. "You seen my guy?" he asks.

Liv shakes her head, confused. "The Paedophile?" she asks. "I thought he was in interrogation?"

"One of the unis took him to the bathroom and I haven't seen him since," he says and Liv's eyes widen. She rushes out of the room and looks around.

"He can't have gone far, right?" she asks, looking over to her office, her heart sinking at the sight of the open door. "Ivy," she whispers, running to her office.

"Ivy!" she calls, barging in to see a disgusting older man sitting on the floor with her daughter, his hand on her shoulder and his mouth against her ear. "You get away from her right now!" Carisi shouts, pulling out his gun as Liv runs over to Ivy and scoops her up.

Carisi grabs the man and pulls him to his feet as Olivia sits Ivy on her desk, checking her over, panic written all over her face. "Ivy, did he hurt you?" she asks. "Did that man touch you?"

"No mommy," Ivy shakes her head.

"What did he say to you?" she asks, her heart pounding out of her chest.

"He told me I was pretty," she smiles. "He said we could go and get some candy but I told him that I'm not allowed candy because I was sick," the young girl explains. Liv pulls her close, kissing her head.

"My good girl," she says, "It's okay, Mommy's here."
