"Why are you crying?" Elliot asks, cupping Olivia's face. "This is great news."
"You think?" Olivia asks, wiping her eyes and looking at Elliot. She has no makeup on. She's been too busy crying for that. Freckles dance across her skin, and her eyes glisten.
"You look so beautiful right now," he tells her, making her cheeks flush crimson. "I mean it, pregnancy suits you."
"You wait until I get all fat and lumpy," she pouts, and he runs his thumb over her lip, smiling at her.
"I know that even then, you'll be beautiful." He smiles, moving his hand from her face to her thigh. "How are we going to tell Ivy?"
"I don't know," Liv sighs, "I never asked her about siblings because I never expected..."
"Well, she seemed pretty happy when I told her about my other kids," Elliot smiles.
"Oh lord, your other kids. Elliot, are you sure you want to have seven kids?" she asks, her brow furrowed as she looks at him.
"I'll have seven more if it means I get to be with you," he smirks, squeezing her thigh. "Let's just go home and tell her."
"Alright," Liv says, standing up and smiling nervously at Elliot. Their hands find each other as they walk, their fingers locking together. Everything about them is perfect, like their bodies were made for one another. They take a leisurely walk back to the apartment, a sense of calmness washes over Liv, and she smiles at Elliot. Maybe everything will be okay this time.
"Princess Ivy," Elliot calls as they walk into the apartment. It is quiet, Primrose is asleep on the sofa, but Ivy isn't with her.
"Hi baby," Liv says, scooping the puppy into her arms. "Where's your big sister, huh?"
"That is the cutest damn dog I've ever seen," Elliot says, roughing up Prim's hair with his hand.
"I think she's in her bedroom," Liv says, passing the puppy to Elliot. She wanders over to her daughter's room and is about to knock when she hears a noise. Panic sets in, and she swings the door open, not knowing what she is going to find. What she finds instead makes her feel sick to her stomach.
"It's not what it looks like," Ivy says, pulling the sheets over her naked body.
"What it looks like is that you are having sex!" Liv shouts, loud enough for Elliot to hear. He puts the puppy down and storms down the hall to see a scrawny boy fumbling with his zip on his pants.
"What did you do to my daughter?" he snaps, pushing past Liv and grabbing the kid by the arm. "Did he hurt you?" he asks, facing Ivy, who is shaking in her bed.
"No, Dad, please get off him!" she shouts. "It was my idea!"
"What?" Liv asks, her brow raised at her daughter.
