In the two years since they married, Elliot's ex-wife Kathy had passed away unexpectedly. It gave Elliot a reason to reach out to his children to offer an olive branch to the people who thought he had abandoned them. In reality, the ever jealous Kathy had been feeding them lies about their father. It was very hard for Elliot to hear the fictional stories about himself.

They were all bonding again, and it gave Olivia the opportunity to explain herself to them. Having a one night stand with a married man was so out of character for Olivia, but it was no excuse. Elliot's children used to love her, confide in her. She wanted that relationship with them again, for Elliot's sake, and for the sake of the two girls they had together.

Which is why, with the help of Bernie Stabler, Olivia booked all of the kids on a flight out to their Orchard. To surprise Elliot for christmas. She knew he missed his children. She knew it was torture for him when they refused to come to the wedding. That's the thing about Elliot. He is an amazing father. Always had been. Olivia hoped, though, that with age, his children had matured. They were always getting into trouble as kids and Liv was worried about the influence they might have on impressionable Ivy. She had a bad enough attitude as it was, without someone egging her on. She got that from Elliot.

"Are you ready for your Christmas present?" Olivia asks Elliot as her phone dings to say they have arrived and are waiting on the porch for the green light to enter the house.

"It's a bit early for presents, isn't it?" Elliot asks. It is two days away from the big day.

"Yes, but I had to pay for express delivery for this," Olivia laughs, swinging open the front door. Elliot's face is a perfect picture as his five children stand behind the door. He rushes towards them as they pile into the warmth of the house, suitcases in tow. Liv watches with a wide grin as Elliot tries to fit them all in his arms, kissing the top of each of their heads.

"You're all here!" He says happily, shocked and emotional. "You need to meet your sisters," He says quickly, excitedly reaching for Isabella as she plays with her toys on the floor.

"Mmm," she groans as he scoops her up. "Daddy!" she whines, flailing her arms around.

"Ivy, come here!" Elliot calls as he proudly shows off his youngest child.

"Hi," Maureen, the oldest Stabler girl, says, reaching for Isabella's chubby hand and shaking it gently. They share the same blonde hair and blue eyes, as does Kathleen, the second oldest.

"Yeah?" Ivy says, walking into the room in her oversized NYPD t-shirt that she stole from her mother's wardrobe. Her eyes settle on the group standing before Elliot. She recognises them from pictures, but that aside, she feels like she knows them. That sibling sixth sense has always been there.

"Ivy, these are your brothers and sisters," Elliot says, the proudest smile on his face. He introduces them all. They are all older than Ivy. Much older, except for Eli, he only looks to be a few years older.
