What if Liv and Elliot had one steamy night together before he left SVU, changing his number and dropping off the face of the earth. Liv has no way to tell him that they have a child together, so she just doesn't.

"Elliot, call me back, please?" Liv says, hanging up the phone. She has called Elliot nearly ten times since her outburst at him, and he isn't answering.
"Mama, stop worrying," Ivy says, walking up behind her mother. "I'm sure he's just working."
"He's mad at me, I talked to him like a piece of dirt yesterday," she sighs, running her hands through her hair. "I have to go to work," she smiles, kissing the top of Ivy's head. "Let me know if he appears."
"Okay, mommy," Ivy smiles, watching her mother walk out of the house. It is the very start of the summer, and Ivy has nothing to do. All of her friends are on vacation, and both of her parents are working.
"Just me and you, kid," she says to Primrose as she flops herself on the couch. She flicks on the TV, and Channel hops for ages until she settles on CSI: NY. Something close to home.
She falls asleep while watching the TV, and she wakes when she hears a key turning in the door. Glancing at her phone, she notices it is way too early for Liv to be home from work, so she jumps to her feet and grabs the baseball bat that Olivia keeps under the couch. Her grip tightens on it, and she is about to swing when Elliot bursts in, his arms full of bags.
"Jesus!" He shouts, jumping at the sight of his daughter with a bat. "What the hell are you doing?"
"I thought you were breaking in!"
"With a key?" He laughs, putting the bags on the table. "Where the hell did you get this?" He asks, taking the bat off her.
"Under the couch, in case of emergencies," she shrugs, looking at the bags he has brought with him. "Why are you ignoring mom?"
"Because I've been planning a surprise," he says, carrying the bags to the bedroom. "She'll be home in an hour, yeah?"
"Uh, give or take," Ivy says, looking at her phone.
"Okay, sit tight. The surprise is for you too," he smiles.

Ivy scrolls through her Instagram as she waits impatiently for Olivia to come home. She is two hours late, and the suspense is killing her.
"Mom!" She says, standing when Liv finally walks through the door.
"Did you cook?" Liv asks. "Something smells nice."
"No, dad did. He has a surprise, I've been waiting hours for you to get home," She whines.
"She's been very impatient," Elliot says, walking towards Liv in a red and white striped apron. She grins, looking him up and down. "I'm sorry for yesterday," he says, and she shakes her head.
"I'm the sorry one," she says, embracing him. "Now tell me, what's going on? What's this outfit about?" She laughs.
"I have a whole evening planned leading up to the surprise," he says as he heads to the stove, stirring a pot of food. "Go get in comfy clothes. This will be ready soon."
