"Elliot, my pants don't fit," Liv pouts as she gets ready for work. It is the seventh pair of trousers she has tried on, and none of them will do up.

"Wear a dress," Elliot shrugs, scrolling through his phone.

"I am not wearing a dress to work," she says, turning around to face him, her small belly poking out of her pants. "You don't even care."

"What?" he asks, putting his phone down. "Why would you say that?"

"You're not even paying attention to me," she pouts, on the verge of tears.

These bloody hormones– Elliot thinks.

"Put a dress on for today," He suggests. "You're captain. It doesn't matter what you wear."

"I don't even know why I bother," Liv says, throwing her hands in the air as she stomps over her clothes that are scattered all over the floor.

"What did I do?" Elliot asks, exasperated.

"Just leave her," Ivy says from the doorway where she's been listening. "Let her calm down." Ivy walks into the bedroom and rummages through the wardrobe. She finds a pair of loose-fitting, black linen pants and takes them out of the bedroom.

"These will fit, Mama. And they're smart," she suggests.

"Oh," Liv smiles, wiping her eyes. "Thank you, baby girl. What would I do without you?"

"Probably Murder Dad," she laughs, walking back into her own bedroom and closing the door.

"Elliot, take the dog for a walk," Liv says, pulling on her trousers. "And then change your attitude while I'm at work," she says before walking out of the house, leaving Elliot stunned.

"Ivy," Elliot calls as he pulls his clothes on, turning his head when his youngest child appears in the doorway. "Wanna come walk the dog with me? I'll buy us bagels for breakfast."

"Sure," Ivy smiles. "Lemme get dressed."

20 minutes later, they are walking through the park, Primrose is excited and curious about everything she sees. She is only just old enough to be able to leave the house, and Elliot can't help but smile at how cute this dog is.

"So, you think mom is alright?" Elliot asks Ivy as they walk.

"Yeah, I think it's just baby stuff," Ivy says, "She's not normally this touchy."

"Okay," Elliot nods. "Because I feel like I've done something wrong all the time."

"Nah, you haven't," Ivy smiles, "You just need to agree with her and comfort her," she smiles. "You have, what, five other kids, and you don't know how to deal with a pregnant woman?"
