Kian's POV

For years, Kian had spent countless nights agonizing over her feelings, torn between wanting to confess the depths of her heart and fearing the rejection that could shatter their friendship beyond repair.

But now, with Madison's soft curves molded against her, those beautiful lips slanting over her own in a fervent kiss, Kian felt like the luckiest woman in the world. All her fears, her doubts, her self-imposed barriers - they had all been utterly obliterated by this one perfect moment of vulnerability and truth.

Madison was kissing her back with equal passion, her fingers deliciously tangled in Kian's hair, holding her close like she never wanted to let go. It was more than Kian could have ever hoped for after pining for the gorgeous singer for so long.

She had to fight back the tide of overwhelming emotion threatening to burst free. How many nights had she spent dreaming of this? Of having Madison in her arms, loving her with everything she had? Too many to count. And now that it was real, now that Madison returned her ardor, Kian felt delirious with joy.

Nibbling along Madison's jaw, she murmured roughly, "I feel like I'm dreaming right now."

Pulling back, she drank in the sight of the beautiful woman before her - cheeks flushed, eyes sparkling, thoroughly kissed and wrapped in Kian's embrace.

"Then let's make up for lost time," Madison husked in return, her fingers skating over Kian's heated skin

She wanted this - god, how she wanted it. To worship Madison's body with her lips, to map every dip and curve until she had committed it all to memory.

But a tiny, insistent voice in the back of her mind kept whispering its doubts. She's your best friend. What if this ruins everything? What if she realizes she doesn't want you after all?

"We should stop," Kian panted, pulling away completely. It took every ounce of willpower to do so.

Madison closed the distance again, tugging at Kian's shirt. "Why?" She questioned distracted with the task of leaving opened mouth kisses along Kian's neck

"Because if we don't I won't be able to stop."

"What makes you think I don't want that." Pulling away, the singer huffed her eyes falling straight to Kian's lips.

Those sultry eyes made the Marine groan, "Madison, please. You're killing me here."

Swallowing hard, Kian forced herself to take another step back, putting much-needed distance between their heated bodies. She raked a shaky hand through her disheveled hair.

As she looked at Madison - flushed, eyes blazing with unmistakable desire - Kian realized quickly that she couldn't allow her insecurities and doubts to rule her any longer. Madison's actions spoke volumes about her intentions, her want. The passion in her kisses, the ardent way she clung to Kian, left no uncertainty.

Madison wanted this as badly as Kian did.

And Kian remembered Evelyn's advice to take the leap, she couldn't let her chance at happiness slip away over unfounded fears. This was the opportunity she had been waiting for, and she couldn't waste it..

Squaring her shoulders, Kian met Madison's heated gaze steadily. "You're sure about this?" she rasped one last time, needing to know without a shadow of a doubt.

Madison didn't hesitate, stepping boldly into Kian's space and framing her face certainty shined in her hazel eyes, "Yes Kian, more than anything else in my life."

The rawness, the sincerity in Madison's voice dispelled any lingering trepidation in Kian's heart temporarily. This was really happening - and she was all in.
