Madison's POV

Madison peaked her eyes open observing her surroundings cautiously. She listened for any footsteps or signs of another person in her room. Slowly the singer removed her blanket propping herself up against her pillows to survey the area better. She determined it was safe enough for her to get up and get ready for the day.

Later, toweling off her damp hair, Madison contemplated her outfit for the day. today was a good day to dress up rather than her usual attire. A pair of light-washed jeans, a white top completed with a pair of Adidas sambas. Madison had a feeling her friends would be stopping by soon to celebrate her birthday and drag her out of the house. She wondered what festivities they had planned for tonight - knowing them, it would likely be a long one.

Madison checked her phone quickly, a sea of notifications flooded it declaring the device completely useless. She turned off the notification temporarily knowing she'd probably get texts from her friends and family soon. The moment Madison stepped out of her bedroom, she sensed another presence nearby.

"Happy birthday!" Olivia cheered

Madison jumped out of her skin turning around only to find a certain blonde with a cannon of confetti. Olivia jumped up and down with joy colliding her body into the musician sending them back ten feet. They almost fell over but luckily Madison braced herself enough for the both of them.

"Warn a girl next time!" Madison laughed as Olivia continued enthusiastically singing Happy Birthday, clearly not hearing Madison's request.

"Come on, I've planned your whole day out! We're running late already," Olivia exclaimed.

"Where are Lucas and Kian?"

Olivia just gave a mysterious smile. "It's a surprise, my lips are sealed."

Madison playfully smacked her arm. "What are you keeping from me?"

"I can't say anything! But what I can tell you is that we're getting lunch first, then shopping for you tonight."

"Pause, what's tonight?"

The manger looped her arm dragging her down the stairs and out of the house. They piled into Olivia's Range Rover, "Sworn to secrecy!"

Madison glanced at her leaning on the center counsel to try and entice her friend into giving her some information, "Sworn by who though? Just a little hint?"

But Olivia kept her eyes on the road, lips sealed. Madison sighed in an exaggerated manner but continued smiling, shaking her head in amusement. She turned her gaze out the window as they drove into LA, the hills giving way to the cityscape. Based on the direction, Madison guessed they were likely headed to one of her favorite restaurants for a birthday lunch.

Sure enough, Olivia pulled up outside of an extremely familiar cafe Madison loved but rarely got to visit lately due to her busy schedule. "I figured you'd enjoy a meal here," Olivia said knowingly as they got out of the car.

She hated how much she missed Kian, part of her felt bad that she was here without her. This was their spot after all, and the last time they were here felt like ages ago. She pushed the thoughts away and followed Olivia to their usual spot. A familiar blonde waitress came by to take their order.

She smiled, "Good to see you again, can't say I'm not sad to see your other friend isn't here with you today" She mused clearly referring to Kian.

The performer was shocked, to say the least. You'd think the woman would've gotten the hint since Kian never texted her. Hell, she threw away her number.
