"Raven!? You missed breakfast!" Judith screamed at me, causing a few people in the corridor to look our ways. I quickly looked down and shrugged.
"I'm not hungry." I mumble, putting my hands in my robe pockets. Judith sighs and shakes her head in a motherly manner.
"Ya know, if you start being late to classes, you'll definitely have detentions. Especially from Snape, the man always seems angry." She said, shivering slightly. I scoffed and looked at her with a smirk.
"If you say so..." In all honesty, the man didn't seem that scary. To most students, he probably seemed terrifying, especially with his cold demeanor and his angry glares. I wouldn't judge the man by his looks though, maybe he has a soft side. Hah! What am I thinking, he's probably a heartless bastard!
Judith and I walked down the corridor. She was escorting me to my first class, History of Magic. Judith stood by the door and shoved me inside. "I'll see you later!" She said, giving a small wave before walking off to her own class.
There were other students sitting down and chatting with each other. I sighed and walked towards the corner of the room, sitting in the farthest seat possible. I wasn't the most sociable person.
Having this stupid ghost teacher was a waste of my time. His classes were boring as fuck and half the class was already asleep. Damn my insomnia. We were learning about the First Wizarding War. How boring. He told us about Voldemort or whoever the fuck, died. Personally, I don't think he died completely. I think something happened against his will and forced him to vanish. Somehow he will come back, I mean that's what Professor Binns said. He would have found some way to bring himself back. I yawned and put my head down on the desk. God I just can't wait until classes are over.
Eventually, History of Magic finished and I headed off to Herbology with Gabriel. Professor Sprout was a cheerful and bubbly teacher with a kind heart. Her classes weren't boring or disrupted because each student was relieved to have the head of Hufflepuff teach their Herbology class. She also gave out heaps of points. She gave 5 points to every correct answer, 10 to each person who correctly managed to feed their plant. She gave a Hufflepuff 35 points and Slytherin 75 points, thanks to myself. The class was really simple so most of the questions were answered by myself. The Hufflepuffs were amazed at my answers and Gabriel was astonished at how confident I was in class compared to when we first met.
Despite the kindness of each student and teacher in the class, I was relieved to be heading off for a break. Gabriel and I walked over to Judith who was surrounded by a group of boys and girls. We both made eye contact in between two heads. She smiled slightly and turned to the group of girls.
"I've got to go, see you guys later." She excused herself from the group and quickly shuffled over to us.
"Hey Judi." Gabriel calmly waved, but soon smiled widely. "You know, you should have seen Raven in Herbology! She could easily fit in Ravenclaw! I mean, your name is Raven for a reason! I've never seen Professor Sprout give so many points!" Gabriel said quickly, excitement in his voice.
"Wow, you're a whiz kid aren't you, Raven?" Judith joked, nudging my stomach. I awkwardly nodded and looked down. I never really got compliments from anybody, so I felt my cheeks get warm.
"I guess." I replied quietly, hiding my face in my hands. Moments like this, I feel so loved, even if it is a simple compliment.
"Aw, look! She's blushing!" Judith pointed out, making me blush even more. I shook my head quickly.
"No, I'm not! I...I..." I quickly trailed off. Judith ruffled my hair and laughed.
"What happened to the whiz kid?" She said questionably. I blushed even more. God! I need to stop!
