Chapter 40 - Fire

Just sayin'... Holy shit... Chapter 40... also this isnt really edited. Any mistakes just lemme know... lets get on with the show...

As promised, Kirren showed up at the ROR at precisely the same time as yesterday. I was excited. I had been practicing water well but then again... water is the opposite of fire... would i be able to do it? Kirren said that most druids had the ability to control 1 or 2. Earth was already given... i just had to practice it... and water was as easy as pie, but would i be able to control 3?
Severus didnt show up today. He had classes. I guess he could trust me with Sning. Sning was a beautiful ring and i was sure to treasure it as best i could.
"So Raven, quick recap of water?" He asked.
"Sure." I raised my right hand and watch as the water follows my every command. Kirrens eyes lit up.
"You're one powerful druid." He said, his eyes still locked fascinated by the water. "I couldn't do that one handed until I finished school! I was nearly 20!"
Was i really that good?

This time however, the ring did not affect the water in the air.

"So, we start fire today!" He said rubbing his hands together. We walked off to an area that wouldn't cause much harm. Just to be safe. With a quick 'Incendio', a fire was lit. Once again, Kirren stood forwards to show me how its done.
Raising his hands once again, the fire danced at his command he made the flames errupt higher and then die down again. He even made the fire form a little picture of a pup runing around. It took a little while to realise that it was in fact me. Smiling at this, he stopped leaving the fire at its starting position. It did not move. It did not burn the whole place down.
"Okay, water and fire are a little different.  Fire is obviously associated with anger and force so you gotta be careful. When too angry or stressed it can go haywire. One way of doing it is controlling your anger. But the minute you loose it, well... good luck. The way i do it is... through a sort of raw emotion. Pour your heart and soul into this. Do it like you mean it. Okay, got it?" He finished. I nodded once but i was still slightly worried. I raised my hands and followed Kirren's words. 'Raw emotion' 'pour your heart and soul into this' 'Do it like you mean it' Okay, i can do this.
Letting the Magic surround me once more, i poured heart and soul into it. I want it to work. I want to control it. I want to get this done. I can do this... But what if i cant?
Everything dropped. But the temperature. In fact, it got higher. It seemed i lost control of the fire. I couldnt see anyway. It was pitch black and smoke went everywhere. Ironically, fire was supposed to brighten up your path. I fell to the ground coughing. I could barely breathe. How did this happen? I couldnt see Kirren. But i needed to get out of this mess.
Can i do it?

But i cant even control the fire yet!

The smoke was going everywhere. It wouldn't take long before i passed out.
Wait, water!
~Squeeze~
Yes! I can use the water to put out the fire?
~Squeeze~
I immediately got to it. I couldn't see but maybe i could feel it. I thought about the pure water from the lake. How it shone and how it followed my every command. I thought of it rising in a big ball and moving towards me. I thought of it coming to my rescue. And I spoke to it too.
"Come on water. Please help me. I can do this. Lets get this fire out" I spoke to no one in particular. But it seemed the water could hear. I could feel it above me even though i could feel the flames radiating and sometimes inching closer to me. My leg started to burn. The flames were high-fiving my skin and it was not pleasant. Not at all. I thought of letting to of the water and it dropping down on me. And it did. Once again, i was soaked, but the fire was out and only a bit of smoke was left in the room. I wanted it gone. Gone completely. And thats what it did.
With the smoke no longer in the room, i looked around. Nearly everything was burnt. Kirren was no where in sight.
Did he leave?

Ughh that piece of shit!
I moved to sit up but only then could i feel the pain. My leg was burnt badly and i could feel the pain jolting through my body with every movement. It seemed my leg was not the only thing burnt. It was now that i noticed that more of my body was burnt. In some places it was even black. The water had provided a temporary relief but now left open and vulnerable to the hot air wifting through the ROR, my body seemed to burn more. This was torture. I needed help.
I tried to speak but my voice failed on me croaking "help" in barely a whisper.

The snake uncoiled of my finger and had turned into a snake! Sning hissed at me and turned away to go get Severus.
So he could become a snake!!
Cool! I was too tired at this point. I let my eyes close and knocked out.
