I walked down the corridor, towards the kitchen. I had detention with Snape today. It starts in a 10 minutes, but I decided I was going to get some sweets from the kitchen. Who works in the kitchen anyway?

I walked up to the painting of the pear and looked around, checking if anybody was watching. I saw no sign of students. I tickled the pear and it allowed entrance to me. I walked in slowly to be greeted by a house elf.

"Hello Mistress-" The house elf gave a look with his glossy eyes. "Raven. Just Raven, no need to be formal." I gave a warm smile and the house elf returned it.

"Mistress Raven, how may Dobby help you today?" I'm assuming the name of the house elf is Dobby. I knelt down to him and looked around the kitchen.

"Dobby, do you happen to have any candy, sweets, lollipops?" I ask kindly, putting my hands in my pocket. I knew these house elves were sometimes sensitive, so I were always nice to them. It's a shame that they have to be slaves for families...

Dobby nodded quickly and smiled. "Of course Mistress! Please excuse me." I nodded and watched as Dobby apparated with the snap of his fingers. I straightened up and waited for Dobby to come back. There were many other house elves walking around. So, these little dudes prepare the food for the Great Hall? I had no idea...

Dobby soon reappeared with a tray of different varieties of sweets and candies. "This is all Dobby could find. Dobby has to ask the other elves to buy more." He gave a nervous smile as he stretched out the tray.

"No, it's okay Dobby. This is perfect." I gave a reassuring smile as I only grabbed the Blood Flavoured Lollipops and Toffee. "I'll just take these, is that alright?" Dobby gave a nod and he bowed. I gave a short laugh and shoved the sweets in my pocket.

"Bye Dobby, see you later." I walked out the painting and made my way towards the Potions classroom. I unwrapped one of the Toffee sweets and ate one. I remember I once at a whole jar of the Toffee sweets in a day, I got sick the next day.

I stood in front of the Potions classroom door with a Blood Flavoured Lollipop in my mouth. I have an unusual taste in candy...

I hesitantly knocked on the door. A few moments later, the door swung open to reveal an emotionless Snape. "You're late." He growled lowly, glaring at me. I huffed and put my hands in the pockets.

"Oh really now?" I said sarcastically as I walked past him, my shoulder lightly grazing his arm. He slammed the door shut and walked towards his desk. I waited for him to say something, instructions on what I'm doing for detention.

He loomed over me, that moment I realized how tall he was. "Why are you so tall?" I asked absentmindedly. He quirked an eyebrow at the sudden question. "Correction: How tall are you?" I ask once again, once realizing that the first question was stupid.

He crossed his arms and gave a smirk. "5'11." He replied in a monotone voice. I'm only 4'9... just imagine how tall he is compared to me.

I nodded in approval and followed Snape to the back of the room. "You will be sorting potions by alphabetical order... without your wand."

"I don't have a wand." I said under my breath, stifling a laugh.

"You have a filthy mind Miss Hellstrand." Snape commented, causing my cheeks to warm. "But seriously, I left it in my dorms." I confirmed, earning a suspicious look from the Potions Master.

I huffed and reached into my pocket for another Blood lollipop. Snape raised an eyebrow at my actions.

"Want one?" I offered him one and he glared at me.
