Chapter 22 - Suspicious

Severus' POV:

"Black! Would you be so kind and stop pestering me?" I growled, glaring at Black. He continued to follow me through the halls, trying to get me to tell him where Raven was. I refuse to speak to Black, no matter what.

"Just tell me where Raven is and I'll let you run back to your chemistry set!" He shouted, his shouts echoing through the hall. I froze and clenched my fists.

"Come on Padfoot. Snape doesn't know where she is." Lupin put his hand on Black's shoulder, but he shrugged him off. Lupin seemed a bit hurt by this, but he let his hand fall back to his side.

"Moony, I know he knows! I can feel it!" Black whisper-yelled, pointing an accusing finger at me. I tossed him a menacing glare before storming away towards my chambers. I heard heavy footsteps behind me.

"Just tell me Severus!" Black said desperately. That's a first, he called me my first name.

I stopped walking and turned to the two who I despised. They both came to an abrupt stop, Lupin nearly bumping into Black. I put my hands behind my back and scowled at the two. "Black, if you are so desperate to know-"

An ear piercing scream cut me off, causing us all the jump from the sudden noise. We all looked at each other, all knowing who screamed.

Raven.

We exchanged looks and we all burst into a run towards the source of the sound, my chambers. We stopped at my door and Black tried to open it frantically. "Damn it! It's locked!" He swore, bringing out his wand. I stopped him and pushed him out the way, earning a curious look from Lupin.

I muttered the password as lowly as possible and the door opened quickly. Black was the first to run in, Lupin, then myself. Black looked around quickly, searching for Raven.

I swiftly opened the bedroom door and rushed in to find Raven sprawled on the bed, the covers and sheets thrown off. She trashed around, whimpering and begging for help. I heard Black and Lupin gasp loudly, obviously surprised.

Another nightmare.

Lupin rushed towards the bed and pulled Raven in his arms, cradling her. Her eyes snapped open, tears filled with them. She gasped loudly and wrapped her arms around his waist and pulled her face into his chest.

"R-Remus, he's coming! Please don't let him take me. Please." She muffled into his chest. Remus stroked her hair, whispering sweet things in her ear.

I suddenly felt jealously rising in my chest seeing that werewolf holding my Raven. No, I cannot call her that. Damn it Severus, this isn't the time for being jealous!

"She's having nightmares again." Black sighed deeply and put his face in his hands. She has constant nightmares...?

Black turned to me with a concerned expression. "Severus, do you have a Calming Draught?" He asks softly, nervously glancing at Raven and Lupin. I merely nodded and quickly walked to my personal potions stash, grabbing a Calming Draught.

I rushed towards Raven and Lupin. He looked up curiously, eyeing the potion in my hand. "Severus-"

"Severus!" Raven squeaked and jumped up from Lupin's lap. She wrapped her arms around my neck, causing me to nearly fall over. I held up the potion vial, preventing it from spilling. She wrapped her legs around my waist and tightly hugged my neck. She nuzzled her face into my neck and I felt my cheeks flush.
