Secrets (A Severus Snape Story)

Chapter 6 - Wolf In Hogwarts

"Raven...?" Sirius walked down the dirt path, searching for the young child.

"Raven? Where are you?" Sirius suddenly became frantic, fearing that the child known as Raven was lost. He turned into his animagus form, a black dog, and started running around, looking for the girl.

He ran into the woods and sniffed around for Raven. He suddenly caught movement from a clearing in the trees. He slowly stalked over to the clearing and was amused at what he was seeing.

A small gray pup was on it's back, snuggling into a patch of Ferns. The pup yelped happily as she saw Sirius walk slowly over to her, no longer in animagus form.

Every time Sirius and Raven went out for a stroll, he always found Raven near those Ferns.

From that day on, Sirius always called her Fern.

"Fern?" I was snapped out of my daze when I heard Severus calling me. I stepped out from the shadows.

"Here, Sev." I said quietly. He cringed at the name and I sighed.

"She called you that, didn't she?" I asked, watching him slide down a tree and sit down . He nodded sadly and closed his eyes.

I suddenly felt concerned about Severus, something that doesn't usually happen. I slowly walked over to him. I sat down and snuggled onto his lap.

"You're such a cute pup." He smiled. He should smile more... he looked cute. I'm not going to deny it, he did look cute when he smiled.

"Something tells me you don't say that often." I said, moving my head under his hand, indicating him to pet me. He gladly stroked my smooth fur and I gave a low growl.

"I don't have anyone to say it too." He whispered softly. I snuggled more in his arms and he gave a low chuckle. Oh Merlin... he needs to chuckle more too... that was a very attractive...

I needed to hear it again...

I stood up on his lap and placed my tiny paws on his chest. He gave a questioning look. I tilted my head and yelped happily. He smiled again and he wrapped his arms around me. I licked his face and he gave another chuckle.

"That's gross." He said, wiping his face with his sleeves. I barked happily at him and began to run around in circles.

He took off his black cloak and set it down next to him. His hands went to the top button of his shirt and he began to slowly take them out... one by one...

He eventually finished and he smoothly slipped off the black coat. He was left in a white button up shirt that was slightly see through. He looked up at me and smirked.

"Watching, are we?" He said, reaching over to grab me. I stayed silent and rested on his lap.

This is bad... What if I get caught? Severus has shown me a side to him that nobody has possibly scene... Oh Merlin, I'm so dead.

I was snapped out of my thoughts when Severus stood up, himself towering over me.

"Well... How about we go to Hogwarts?" He gestured to the large castle. I stopped running and looked at him. I looked up him with wide eyes.

"Really? In the castle?" I ask, walking up to him and circling around his feet. He nodded slowly and gave a smirk.

"Scared?" He picked me up and looked at me. I growled and tried to take a bite out of his sleeves. "No! What if somebody finds me and you get in trouble?"

"Don't worry... I'll protect you." He whispered and he pulled me to his chest. He nuzzle his face into my neck and I growled with satisfaction.

Severus... He was no longer that angry man that I met on the first day here. He was friendly... Maybe he just needed to keep a reputation up. I knew the feeling, having to keep up a reputation. Severus interested me, he was so different right now. Who knew what would happen if he figured out that this was me?
