--Evelyn's POV--

Lando was very adamant about wanting to pick me up tonight. I have seen videos of his cars on the internet so I'm curious which one he is using tonight. That's such a bizarre sentence. Imagine having multiple cars each of them costing thousands of dollars. My parents for real failed me by not forcing me into a hobby, "You look so cute," Kyla says walking in and seeing me spraying perfume on my neck. I chose a cute and comfy outfit. I'm wearing sweatpants and a shirt I cut into a crop top from college. It rolls perfectly at the bottom and doesn't show too much but makes the outfit cute. I slip on some Converse as I look out the window.

"Holy shit," I whisper. Kyla walks over and sees the car Lando pulled up in. It looks like it could have paid my way through college, after college, and retirement. It's the sleekest-looking car I've ever seen in my life, "I feel underdressed to be in that thing," I joke playing with the bracelet on my wrist.

"I'm jealous I wasn't invited for tonight but I fully expect him to know who Four is from Divergent the next time I see him," She says as I grab my things laughing. I have a full list of movies tonight but I'm not sure how many he would want to watch. First, we have The Maze Runner movie, and then Divergent. I can't start The Hunger Games without finishing them so these are just a first taste into the genre. She tells me to have a good time as I leave the apartment and walk to the front lobby. I take a deep breath as I walk out and see him waiting in his car. He jumps out when he sees me and opens the passenger door for me.

"Always such a gentleman," I whisper as he jokingly tells me to shut up. He runs around and gets into the driver's seat starting the car up, "Are you excited about tonight?" I ask looking over at him with a cheeky smile.

"I mentioned tonight to some of the guys and immediately got made fun of for not being cultured," He says sounding shocked that so many people love this genre of movie.

"Cause you are. I didn't believe I was good luck until now. You really needed me," I joke as he rolls his eyes copying my move. I watch as the sun goes down during our drive to his apartment. He said it's kind of a far drive but I love going on car rides. I've never been in a convertible before but I love feeling the warm air on my skin. Taylor Swift is playing through his speakers making me want to fall in love with him. That might be the hottest thing he's ever done is like Taylor. The playlist isn't even playing just her singles so he's a true fan.

"I ordered a pizza so I hope that's okay," he says as I thank him.

"That is the perfect movie food," I tell him as he looks relieved. As he parks the car and we start walking to the door to get into his apartment building he grabs my hand, "Tell me more about work. I want to hear all about the race," I tell him. He immediately brightens up as he tells me about what I watched on TV. It's cool hearing about what is going on in the car versus seeing it on the big screen. I wish they showed more of him but I think I'm biased. He continues talking as I take in his home. There is a wall of trophies as soon as you walk in that separates the main area from the den area with a sunken in floor with a couch in front of a TV. It looks like the most comfortable thing I'll ever sit on.

"I just need to figure out how to beat Max at this next race," he says grabbing a bottle of wine from his fridge. I lean against his counter as he pours two glasses.

"I fully know you can do it," I tell him as he places the bottle on the counter. I'm shocked as he cuts the distance between us and presses his lips against mine. I put my hand on his cheek leaning into him before he pulls away.
