—Evelyn's POV—

"You are not getting near me with that," Lando says as I walk into his hotel room with sushi. I pull another bag from behind my back and show him the chicken and rice I got him, "you're still questionable for liking fish," he states as I raise my eyebrow pulling the back from him, "But a cute questionable person?" He adds as I smile.

"I have to have sushi. It's our last day here and I'm not wasting this opportunity," I tell him as he looks at the bag in disgust, "You are a child".

"Why do people keep saying that?" he asks laughing at himself"

"You spent all of last night in an arcade trying to win a stuffed octopus," I offer as she looks at me offended.

"And who spent all last night cuddled up to it?" He counters.

"I never said I didn't appreciate Lenny. He's my new favorite stuffed animal. When I get home he's going right on my nightstand," I assure him as he hands me a water bottle as we sit on the couch in the lounging area of the hotel room. I'm not really sure how we ended up at an arcade but we were with George Russel, Charles, Kyla, and Max. We all bumped into each other and just decided to stop in to see what it was like and ended up staying for hours. Max must be good at everything cause he left looking like the coolest second grader in school. He had glow-in-the-dark bouncy balls, plastic rings on his fingers, and a giant stuffed panda bear. It's like I'm living a fever dream that's never-ending when I'm with Lando. I don't know if I ever want it to end.

Lando has his laptop propped open on YouTube as he scrolls and figures out what to watch. He clicks on an AngryGinge video and sits back with his chicken. I take the first bite of the sushi and it's like heaven, "This might be the best thing that's ever been in my mouth," I tell him as he raises his eyebrows with a small smirk. I smack him with a pillow calling him a perv as he holds his plate in the air laughing.

"I didn't even say anything," he defends as I shake my head in disbelief.

"It's been almost two months since that night and every day I regret it"

His mouth drops a little, "We never really talked about that night. It's like we talk about everything but romance....yeah we flirt here and there but like...." he says realizing he's rambling. This is weird normally I'm the one who is rambling away as he sits and stares with a smile. I kind of like the reversed roles.

"I mean....what do you want?" I ask.

He sits there for a second and sips his water as he puts his plate to the side, "I don't know if dating right now makes sense. Don't get me wrong...I love hanging out with you and you're the only person I text every day...but I'm going to be traveling like crazy. It's not fair to you," He says as I nod my head understanding what he means.

"So...we can be friends...who flirt sometimes?" I ask to clarify.

"What do you want?" He asks.

"The exact same thing. You're probably one of my closest friends at this point. I don't even tell Kyla everything I tell you," I tell him taking a bite of my food. There's a proud look on his face as he grabs his plate to continue eating. By the time we finish our meals, it's almost 10 pm and our flight back to Monaco is early in the morning. Lando is driving me back to the hotel later cause we want to savor the time we have before he gets pulled back to work. When I shove everything into the trash and turn around he's standing behind me with a look on his face. I can't quite distinguish what he's thinking.

"What about kissing? Friends kiss sometimes..." he says walking closer. I shrug my shoulders while walking closer to him with my hands behind my back.

"Dangerous waters, Norris," I tell him as he puts his hands on my hips. There is so much sexual tension here but I know us being just friends is better for the long run. This way no one gets hurt and there are no expectations. I put my hand on his cheek and smile as he leans down crashing his lips against mine. I gasp against him as he lifts me by my thighs, wrapping them around his waist. His teeth bite into my lower lip as he pulls away keeping his forehead pressed against mine, "Start tomorrow?" I ask as he smiles walking us to the bed.
