--Evelyn's POV--

I walk into the kitchen of Lando's apartment and say hello to Oscar as I put the fruit salad I made onto the counter. He says a quick hello back before hurrying out making me frown. He's been completely freaked out to even talk to me the past couple of weeks. It's ridiculous how Lando is watching me. A hand touches my shoulder and I turn around seeing Max, "Haven't seen you in a while," he says as he pulls me in for a hug.

"I know I have been trying to find a new job and everything either sucks or is miles and miles away," I explain as he grabs a beer from the fridge. I grab my seltzer off the table and follow him into the living room. The drivers have a small break from driving so Lando is throwing a party. Well, it's the pre-game before we go to a sports bar. I was surprised when I saw the girl that was at the club sitting next to Daniel. I walk over and she smiles as Daniel giggles.

"Hello," I tell her as she stands up and walks with me to get a drink, "I'm assuming the date went well," I smile.

She nods her head and thanks me, "He's great. I spent the night at his place and then we got breakfast. We have been texting since. He kind of filled me in on everyone. I'm a little confused cause it looks like your boyfriend is really into that other girl," she says pointing to Max.

"No, we are just friends. My ex-boyfriend...it's complicated he's sitting next to Kyla my best friend," I point. He sees me pointing and winks making me turn around as she laughs.

"I met her she's so nice. We talked about her handbag which bored the guys," She says as I nod my head totally understanding how limited their attention spans are. I pour her a drink and she thanks me as we walk back to the group. Lando calls me over and I give him a quick hug before he pulls me onto his lap.

"I like this," he says referring to the white sundress I'm wearing, "Is it new?" he asks as his fingers slide under where it rests against my thigh. I grab his hand pushing it down as I look around to see if anyone is watching.

"I got it last week if you must know," I tell him as he bites his lip with an amused laugh, "You're very clingy Lan," I tell him as I try to move off him. Logan takes the spot I was going to sit in and smiles at us before turning to Alex and George. There is another football match tonight so the girls will probably just venture off and talk without them.

"Lan?" he whispers, I can feel his breath against my neck. I push myself off his lap and put my drink on the table before going to the bathroom. I can't do this. I refuse to do anything besides talk to him tonight. If I can't go a night without kissing him I should just dig a hole and die in it. That's so humiliating. I walk out and I'm thankful he didn't follow me as I sit on the couch arm that's beside Charles and Kyla. I lean into her side and she laughs as I slowly fall on top of her.

The rest of the night flew by. I stayed sober to be a designated driver which turned out to be a good idea. Carlo's team won and he went crazy. I'm not sure which guy follows what team but they all got shit-faced. Now I'm in a car with Lando, Oscar, Daniel, and Heidi. Oscar is singing along to the radio as I stop outside of Daniel's place. The pair thanked me for driving as I waved them off. I hand Oscar my phone for him to put his address in but he can't even see the keyboard. I ask Lando and he has no idea what the address is as he giggles hearing Oscar singing. I shake my head with a small smile as I head in the direction of Lando's place.

I look at the two and park the car in the lot before walking to Oscar's side. I open the door and he jumps out after unbuckling almost falling over. I put his arm around my shoulder as I helped him stand. Lando gets out of the car singing Max Verstappen's song way too loudly. Oscar almost falls over from laughing but I manage to keep him up right. I hold my hand out and Lando shakily gives me his keys. The two friends lean on each other as I unlock Lando's front door. When I move out of the way for them to walk in Lando immediately goes to the fridge. He leans on the door and finds some leftover pizza as Oscar kicks his shoes off.

When I go to stay goodnight the two of them boo at me, "Do you guys need anything before I go home?" I ask. Lando walks over with a piece of pizza in his mouth and wraps his arms around my torso.

"Don't leave," Oscar yells from the couch, "The night's just getting started," He announces. I know for a fact they will both be passed out in an hour so I might as well stay to make sure they don't break anything. I kick my shoes off making them both smile as Lando's hand travels south. I pull away and give him a look as he raises his hands with a sorry that was muffled by the pizza.

"I failed tonight. I wanted to find someone to go home with but all I found was the end of a liquor bottle," Oscar announces as Lando hops over the couch almost crushing him. Oscar sits up and looks at me as I sit on the armchair.

"I got a girl home," Lando jokes as I throw a pillow at him, "She may not like me but I did it," He states with his hands raised in victory.

"Do you have any friends that are good at long distances?" he asks.

"Only Kyla...sorry mate," I whisper as he frowns. His hair is a mess as he pulls a blanket over himself and sinks into the couch. I have found that Oscar is a fun drunk and then two or three drinks after he becomes a sad drunk. Lando either gets very touchy or giggly and right now he's both. Oscar flips around letting his feet hang in the air as I take my hair down from the clawclip I'm wearing. I shake the back of my head out and look over seeing Lando intensely watching me as I do.

"Come on Osc," I tell him as I stand up, "Time for bed," I announce. He flips over and follows me into the guest room before I grab a water and go back. I put it on the nightstand along with pain killers of the morning as he lays down face first into the pillow. He laughs as I struggle to get the blanket over him, "Night buddy," I whisper as he mumbles into the blanket.

I walk out and see Lando with his own water, "Thanks for driving us," he says as I give him a small smile.

"Have a good night Lan," I whisper as he smiles back at me before walking into his room.
