Chapter Thirty-Six: Home Life

--Evelyn's POV--

I flip over the grilled cheese sandwich in the pan dancing around with the spatula when the front door opens. I tilt my head through the door frame and see Lando kicking his shoes off and throwing his bag onto the floor. I sing along to the song into the handle as he walks over moving his shoulders to the beat, "I would have never expected you to be a One Direction fan," he says as I look offended. 

He takes my hand as the bridge comes on, "You and me and all our friends. I don't care how much we spend. baby this is what the night is for," I sing as he smiles shaking his head as he jumps around with me. I hurry back to the grilled cheese and put it on a plate turning around and see him fully into the song, "If you want to continue calling me your girlfriend...then you will become a Directioner," I tell him as I take a chomp out of the sandwich. 

"I think I can deal with that," He says as I start making him one as well. I see him out of the corner of my eyes picking my phone up and smile seeing him going onto Spotify to like the song on his phone, "Sorry for stopping by unannounced but I feel like I haven't seen you all week," he says leaning on the counter next to the stove.

I look at him seeing the frown and shake my head with a laugh, "I told you I would be busy with work. And I stayed over two nights ago," I point out.

"That's no good enough," He says.

"Who knew Lando Norris was so clingy," I say sucking my teeth. He takes my sandwich off the plate and takes a bite making me open my mouth in disbelief. He chews it happily with a smirk on his face as the front door opens again.

"I feel like my legs are still wobbly from last night. Charles does this really good thing with his tongue," Kyla groans but freezes when she sees Lando with the biggest grimace on his face. He puts the sandwich down and shakes his head walking away to my bedroom, "So fun fact...I'm never coming back here ever again," She says as I giggle.

"Tell me about last night," I tell her as Lando kicks the door shut making us both laugh. She takes his spot next to the stove and takes a bite of the sandwich making me throw my hands up in defeat.

"We went on that date to the restaurant that's on the coast and it was absolutely beautiful. Then we ran into Daniel and he was with Heidi and they looks adorable. So...long story short Daniel gave us these chocolates and told us they were from this small place down the street so we ate them. Turns out they were these aphrodisiac candies and he got them to give to Carlos to mess with him but we saw him first," She explains making my mouth drop open again in shock.

"Daniel is a menace to society...but like they couldn't have worked that well," I whisper as she widens her eyes with a smirk.

"When I tell you every room in the house...I mean it. I've never seen Charles like that before but I am definitely thanking Daniel the next time we see him. But now I am going to run a bath and read so if you need me don't," She says walking away and leaving me laughing. I turn the stove off and walk into my bedroom with both plates seeing Lando scrolling on Instagram. He turns around and frowns before seeing the food. He goes for the uneaten sandwich so I slap his hand away.

"I never want to hear about Charles's tongue ever again," he states.

"Maybe you should get tips from him," I shrug making him narrow his eyes at me. I lean against the head of my bed watching as he angrily eats. The small pout on his lips is hilarious. When I finish eating I put the plate to the side and turn back being ambushed by Lando's lips.

"You eat so slowly," he mumbles as I play with his curls.

"You know I was kidding right?" I ask as he cockily pulls away, "Or maybe I wasn't," I tell him making it falter for a second, "There is only one way to prove it".

"You're such a prick," he whispers kneeling above me. I gasp as he pulls my legs to the end of the bed making me laugh as I pull him back down to kiss me.

"Just be quiet 'cause Kyla is here," I tell him.

"I don't think I'll be the problem," he smirks making my chest grow heavy.
