Love Never Lasts

Chapter #23 Who's this girl?

     He stopped leading me when we were now surrounded by the gross people grinding against each other.

     "Please tell me you didn't lead me here to do that?" I teased him knowing deep down that's not why he stopped here. Or at least that's what I hoped. "Why? Are you interested?" Before I could open my mouth to speak his hands were on me. One of his hands was pressed against my back while the other was on my hip. He pressed his body against mine while using the hand that was on my back to press me further into him.

     "Is this what you wanted?" His breath was hot against my ear. I tried to speak again but nothing came out of my mouth. My skin felt like fire from the way he was touching me. A laugh broke free from Charlie's lips as he released me. 

     I stormed off. Who does he think he is teasing me like that? "Wait Evelyn! I'm sorry I was just messing around. You know I wouldn't ever try anything with you unless you told me you wanted too." The words seemed to fumble out of his mouth like he was unsure what to say at the moment. I knew what he was trying to say though. "You just love to see me embarrassed, don't you?" I asked him.

     "Maybe just a little." I saw a grin forming on his face. I just rolled my eyes at him. "Do you wanna get out of here?" He asked me. 

"Out of this area with all the gross people or out of this party." 

"I was referring to out of this party but yeah technically both." 

"Well I would love to leave with you, but I don't wanna just leave Sarah."

 "Oh right, plus I don't even have a car here, Zack drove me. We could ask them if they wanted to join us." "Sounds like a plan to me, but we're not just asking them to join us we're asking them to drive us." I pointed out. "Same thing." 

     We searched the party until we saw them partying with Josh and some other people I didn't know. "Hey Charlie." A girl squeaked, throwing herself at Charlie. She had even more skin exposed than me if that's even possible. 

     Her black shorts were so tight and the length didn't even cover her whole butt making her butt cheeks hangout on display. She was also wearing a cropped shirt like me except her white shirt had a very low v cut. If she were to bean over you could see right down her shirt. That was probably what she was going for anyway.

     I didn't like the way the blond's hands were touching Charlie at the moment but I kept quiet. I just stood there watching the two and waiting to see if Charlie even remembers that I'm standing right here. I stepped closer so I could hear what they were saying which was hard to do since the music was so loud.

     "Leah, I've told you before I don't like you that way and I have a girlfriend." He pushed her out of his arms and the girl ended up bumping into someone behind her. Charlie pushed Leah very lightly. I could tell she was being over dramatic.

     "So I'd appreciate it if you kept her hands off of me." Charlie spat the words at Leah, the two must have some type of history. 

     Maybe their ex's? I don't even want the image of Charlie with someone else in my head, but that didn't stop the image of Leah's mouth of Charlie's as he pulls her closer to him. I shook my head as if that would shake the image out of my brain. 

     "Wow Charlie, I didn't think you had it in you." I didn't even realize that Sarah and Zack were now standing right next to us. Sarah was leaning on Charlie's shoulder like if he wasn't there she would fall over. She's definitely drunk.

      Sarah started to lose her balance, she would have fallen over if Charlie didn't catch her. "I think we should get out of here." Zack said while taking his girlfriend out of Charlie's arms and into his. "What a great idea." Charlie gave me a look which made me laugh. "But we just got here. I wanna party." Sarah whined in Zack's arms. "You're already wasted enough." Sarah tried to protest but Zack covered her mouth with his hand so she couldn't say anything. "Hey why don't we go to a diner. It could be fun plus you could get your girlfriend some water and food to sober up." Charlie suggested.

     Muffled sounds came from Sarah. "You know that's not gonna work." He lowered his head as he spoke to his girlfriend in a very low voice. Judging by the way he said it I could tell exactly what she was doing. I was proven right when I saw Sarah's tongue run across Zack's fingers. He whispered something in her ear but I didn't know what it was. "Alright that's enough love birds, let's get out of here already." The way Charlie was acting he must have heard what Zack said in Sarah's ear. The disgusted look on his face was the dead gave away. 

     All four of us got into Zack's car and he drove us to the nearest diner. When we got to our table Sarah was practically falling over her own feet. Zack had to help her into the booth. 

     I was sitting across from Sarah. Well Charlie was on my left. When everyone was settled into the booth I leaned over to whisper to Sarah. "What's up with you, you never drink like this." Sarah groaned then rolled her head dramatically then slamming her head on the table with a loud thunk. I poked her hair then she mumbled into the table which I'm pretty sure she said "I don't wanna talk about it." I decided to let it go for now but remember to ask her about it again some time when she's sober again.
