The footsteps belonged to George and Matt who were trying to seek a peek at what we were doing. I quickly got up. "What do you two think you're doing?" I watched as George jumped a foot.

"Nothing." George said while flashing an innocent smile. "Nice try, get lost!" I tried swatting them back to the stairs but they didn't budge.

"Why? Is something happening between you and Charlie?" "Maybe- just get going."

The two boys ran back up the stairs giggling. I wonder what they are giggling about. I felt arms wrap around my waist from behind me. I flinched at the sudden touch. Charlie rested his head on my shoulder. He whispered in my ear "We keep getting interrupted." His raspy voice echoed in my ears.

I like Charlie a lot. Charlie was the first guy I've ever really liked or even kissed. Pushing things further kinda scares me. I don't wanna tell him no, plus it feels so good. I just- don't feel ready for that stuff yet. I snapped back into reality when I felt Charlie's soft lips against my neck. I felt all the blood drain from my face as I quickly broke free from his arms. I stepped back away from him, staring back at him as I crossed my arms over my stomach trying to hide myself with them.

"I'm sorry, did I over step?" Asked while stepping closer to me, reaching out his hand towards me. I flinched. I watched as hurt spread across his face. I didn't mean to flinch. I wasn't scared of Charlie. I liked the way he touched me, but something right now felt off to me. It's probably just me.

"I-I I'm sorry, I don't know what's up. I just-." "Hey it's ok." He cut me off still keeping a safe distance as if he was scared I would try to run from him in my own house.

"I understand, after what you told me today I get that things like this may be hard for you." I took a deep breathe pulling myself together before walking straight up to him so we were face to face again. Well mostly, Charlie is very tall. While I'm more on the short side. He was probably around 5 inches taller than I was. A piece of his brown caramel-like hair was in his eyes. I tried to brush the hair out of his eyes but I just couldn't reach it. He smirked at me as he leaned down so I could swipe the hair out of his eyes. "Thanks." I mumbled to myself. "Why do you have to be so damn tall?" I glanced up at him while he just looked down at me. "You're just really short." "Not true!" I huffed.

He placed one of his hands on my head gently almost like he was afraid to touch me. He ruffled my hair making a mess out of it. I reached up, putting both of my hands over his hand. "Hey get your hand off my hair! You're messing it up!" He only continued to mess up my hair even more. "Why? Who are you trying to look good for?"

I finally got his hands off my hand and away from my hair. "Yeah I do. There's this cute guy I've been talking to and I wanna impress him." I watched Charlie's face shift like he couldn't tell if I was joking or not but it quickly faded.

"And who would this guy be?" I smirked as I brought my fingers to my chin. "Well this cute boy with Caramel hair and eyes so blue they bring me back to the sea, he's about this tall." I put my hand up to his forehead which I could barely reach. "He's funny, not humble at all." I laughed, so did Charlie.

"This boy has made me feel things I've never felt before towards anyone." I was now looking down at my feet as my face blushed red. I saw his feet step closer. I felt his arms wrap around my waist, tightly. His head nuzzled into the crock of my neck. He planted a few soft kisses on my neck.

A cell phone started buzzing. I could tell by the ringtone that it wasn't mine. It had to have been Charlie's. He removed his arms from my waist to pull his cell phone out of his pocket. He took a small step back while I watched him answer the phone then bring it to his ear. "Hello?"

A pause of silence passed before he said something again. "Yeah, I understand. I'll come home and help you." I swear I could faintly hear the other person on the phone gratefully thank him. "Ok bye see you soon." He hung up the phone and slipped it back into the pocket of his jeans.
