I was shaken awake by Ethan. He had a cup of something in his hand. "Evelyn, wake up." "I am awake." He handed me the cup. "Drink that it'll help you sober up." "What is it?" I asked. "Coffee."
First time having coffee. Alcohol and coffee for the first time in one night. Ethan closed my door and went to Sarah's window who was now in the driver seat. "Hope you guys get home safe, careful driving." Ethan said to Sarah.
"If you're worried about me driving I think we're ok, I didn't drink too much and it was a while ago plus Ethan gave me some coffee to sober up a bit." Sarah reassured me. "I trust you." Sarah started driving back to her house. "So what happened with you and Charlie?" Sarah asked.
"He found me drunk at the snack bar, he took me over to his car and for some reason I made a move on him when that's something I would never do." "Well that would be the alcohol kicking in, what did you do?" "Well I kissed him and then I actually sat on top of him." "For real?!" "Yeah it was pretty great." "I can tell by that smile on your face." Sarah looked at me through the car mirror.
Ethan's house wasn't far from Sarah's house so the drive wasn't long. When we pulled in Sarah dragged me inside. "Come on, let's get you to bed." She has also grabbed my bag. I had my own bed at Sarah's House. Sarah has multiple siblings, one of her older sisters shared a room with Sarah. So when she went off to college that bed became mine.
I flopped onto the bed. Sarah threw my bag at me. "Here you should change before you fall asleep." Sarah left the room probably to go to the bathroom. I grabbed my Pjs I had packed and slipped them on. Sarah came back into the room.
My phone had buzzed again. "Is that Charlie? Your phone was going nuts in the car when you were asleep." "It was?" I quickly grabbed my phone. There were a ton of messages from Charlie panicking. I felt bad that I made him worry. I still couldn't type. "Sarah can you type to Charlie that we got to your place safely and the-." "You know you can just send a voice recording if you can't type." "Oh yeah!"
I sent him a voice recording saying. "We got home safe, and the guy who got in the car was Ethan, a friend of ours, Sarah was a little drunk so Ethan drove to his place, gave us some coffee and Sarah drove the rest of the way home which wasn't far." And send. I put my phone on a charger and laid down.
Sarah laid down in her bed. "You'll probably need to throw up in the morning so that's something to look forward to and make sure you throw up in the toilet." "Great." "Also my parents won't be home until tomorrow night so you don't have to worry about them coming home." "Yeah, your parents scare me a little." "Yeah me too, that's why I like coming to your place." "My parents love you, they don't care if you just walk in." We laughed. It had been a really long day and we were both exhausted. We knocked out not long after that.
I opened my eyes, the room was now filled with sunlight. I felt it coming up from my stomach. I ran into the bathroom and vomited in Sarah's toilet. I feel awful. I kept throwing up all morning.
When I finally finished throwing up I headed down stairs to find Sarah in the kitchen. "Good morning sunshine, you look great!" Sarah teased. I just blankly stared at her. She tossed me a water bottle. I didn't even try to catch it, I just watched it land at my feet. I bent over to pick it up when I felt a sharp pain in my head.
I placed my hand over my forehead like that would make the pain go away. My head hurt too much to stand back up so I just flopped on the floor. I unscrewed the cap off the water bottle. Pressing the plastic bottle to my lips to feel the cool water passing through. The water was so refreshing I downed the whole bottle in one big gulp.
"How's that hangover going for you?" Sarah asked me. "Pretty bad." "Some coffee should help sober you up, let's go to Starbucks." "Ok, but I don't really get coffee so you'll have to have me pick something." "That'll be no problem, I think I know something you might like." Sarah grabbed her car keys and we got into the car.
I don't know how Sarah always looks so nice. Sarah had on gray shorts with a white crop top with her hair in a messy ponytail. Well I was a mess over here. I borrowed a baggy shirt and shorts from Sarah. My hair was all over the place. I kinda didn't care at the moment I was too focused on my hangover.
We went through the drive through at Starbucks. Sarah herself a mocha cookie crumble Frappuccino. And for me a strawberry crème Frappuccino. We got our drinks and drove off.
"So what do you think?" "It's good, I like it." "That's good. I'm gonna stop and get you some hangover stuff." "There's stuff?" "Yeah like pills for headaches" "oh wow that would be really nice." "That's why they make it."
We went inside, got the pills and got out. I pour 2 small white pills into my hand. I washed them down with water one by one. "The bottle says it should take around 20 minutes to kick in." "Ok, thanks for everything." "No problem, that's what friends are for, do you wanna go to your place to check on George your parents went to work already right?"
"Yeah they're both at work, we should check on him. I wanna leave him home alone for too long." We stopped back at my house. When we got there the house seemed empty. I didn't see George anywhere. I guessed he was in his room.
I walked up the stairs. I have pretty light feet so he probably won't hear me coming. I grabbed the door knob and turned it, opening the door.
When I opened George wasn't alone. George was in another boy's lap with his lips smacking against the boy's. "What's going on here!" I screamed.
