"Hi I'm Ethan I'll be your waiter tonight." Ethan? I snapped my head to where the voice was coming from and it was Ethan. Ethan who works at the ice cream place. Why is he working here as well? "Ethan?" My mouth spoke the words before my brain could catch up.

"Oh hey Evelyn, it's nice to see you again." His eyes darted towards Sarah. "Is she still alive?" Sarah groaned again and lifted her hand slightly to show her was still awake. "Crazy night I'm guessing." Ethan laughed. "Yeah I guess you could say that." I responded. "So I'm guessing coffee?" Ethan asked while pointing his pencil at Sarah. Zack answered for her "Yes, she'll have a coffee with cream and I'll have just a coffee."

Ethan looked to Charlie for his drink order. "I'll also have a coffee." He said without making any kind of eye contact with Ethan. His tone of voice sounded a bit annoyed but I didn't catch why. "And last but not least what will the lovely Evelyn be having tonight?" Before I could even respond Charlie hooked an arm around my shoulders pulling me closer. I didn't miss the way Charlie and Ethan exchanged glares.

"I'll just have water." "Coming right up." Ethan quickly left the table clearly sensing the tension with Charlie. "Charlie, what was that?" I asked. "What am I doing?" His tone was harsh. "You were flirting with another guy right in front of me." His arm dropped from around my shoulder to cross his arms over his chest. "What? That was not flirting. I was just being nice." I quickly defended myself.

"Nice? Sure you were just being nice." He snapped in a sarcastic tone. "What's with tonight?" My voice started to rise.

Zack cut Charlie from saying whatever he was about to say. "Seriously dude what is up with you? You never act like this." He paused before speaking again. "Are you drunk?" He asked the question quietly but I was still able to hear it. "What? Of course not! You know I don't drink." Zack gave him a look. "Anymore."

Just by Charlie's actions I can tell he was lying. I grabbed the back of Charlie's head and leaned in at the same time I pushed his head closer to me. My lips crashed against his. I slipped my tongue past his lips to taste him. Again I was correct he was lying. I tasted alcohol on his tongue. I pulled away my hand still on the back of his head. "Liar."

"I am not drunk." "Then why do I taste alcohol on your tongue?" I pulled my arm away from him.

"You've only been drunk once now would you know?" Zack stepped in again. "Charlie, don't make me have to test for myself." "And how would you test me?" Zack raised an eyebrow at Charlie.

"Just like Evelyn did." I watched as Charlie's cheeks flushed red.

     "Don't even think about it."

"Aw Charlie don't worry, I'm an excellent kisser. You can ask Sarah." That made Sarah's head pop up. "What? What did I miss? I heard my name." Zack and I laughed at Sarah's cluelessness. "Nothing, just telling Charlie how good of a kisser I am, right babe?" "Yup, you're an amazing kisser, Charlie's a lucky guy." Charlie huffed, sinking lowered into the booth.

"Come here." Zack teased reaching for Charlie. Even though it sounded like Zack was joking I had a feeling he was really gonna do it. "Sorry man, you're not my type and I have a girlfriend." Charlie stood up, backing away from the booth to get away from Zack.

"Evelyn, do I have permission?" I nodded at Zack giving him my permission. Charlie mumbled I hate you both before Zack grabbed him, crashing his lips against Charlie's. Charlie's face was full of disgust as he tried to push the bigger boy off of him. Charlie finally got Zack off of him.

Zack licked his lips. "Evelyn was right, you taste like alcohol." Charlie growled at him. "Fuck off zack!" That made Zack mad. I watched something in him switch from Charlie's words. "Oh man, watch it." Zack warned. "How wasted are you? You never act like this." Charlie was suddenly very interested in his feet. "Come on." Zack said while grabbing Charlie's wrist and pulling him towards the bathroom. "For another make out session? No thanks, I'm good." Charlie snapped.

Charlie tried to get his wrist free from Zack but he was overpowered. "Just to talk." Both boys disappeared into the men's rooms. "Wow, that was entertaining to watch." Sarah and I bursted out into a fit of laughter. "It's not everyday you get to see your boyfriend make out with your best friend's boyfriend." Sarah said in between laughter.

The boys came back ten minutes later. Charlie still looked like he was in a bad mood and Zack, pleased with himself, probably got whatever he wanted from Charlie out of him. The two of them slipped back into their seats. "So how was the second make out session?" Sarah said bearly controlling her laughter. Surprisingly Charlie smirked. The words that came out of his mouth caused my jaw to drop. "Yeah I might just have to steal your boyfriend from you."

What happened in that bathroom? He suddenly became Mr. Jokester again? Zack laughed at my expression. "Do you have mood swings or something?" Sarah asked the question that was floating inside my head.

"No, I just needed someone to smack some sense into me." Charlie put his arm on my shoulder again. "I'm sorry babe, I was being a jerk." I smiled and told him everything was fine. I knocked my fist lightly against his head. "But you might want to get your head checked out." He laughed and agreed.

His fingers brushed against the skin in my arm. "You feel cold, plus you have your arms crossed. Do you want my jacket?"

The reason my arms were crossed was because I was feeling insecure about how cropped my shirt was. It would be nice to cover myself up. "Yeah, that would be great, thank you." Charlie looked around for his jacket until he realized he left it in the car. He ran out to the car to get his jacket.
