ೱ The reunion of the Avians ೱ Part 2

I know third life happened before the end of Season 8, but time chronological events is manipulative in the world of fanfiction.

"WHAT!?" Jimmy exclaimed, "PEARL! You can't just say something like that!"
Pearl chuckled in response to the frantic state of the avian. "I'm serious Jimmy, it was a pure coincidince but Xelqua is alive and well on Hermitcraft - he goes by the name Grian now"
The canary's eyes lit up with excitement, glisteninng with tears of happiness. "You mean I can finally see him again?" he asked, hopeful for the answer.

"Yes, I'll have to ask him first, but I'm sure he'll be more than happy to see you" Pearl replied with a smile, "but I have to go back on Hermitcraft now, I'll take Xel to you as soon as I can"

It was a few days later when Pearl finally met up with Grian, to offer him a reunion with Jimmy.

"He really misses you Xel, we all do" She comforted as tears started to fall from his eyes, with the back of his hand he wiped them away, "Thanks Pearl, but please call me Grian, the name Xelqua has been tied too much to the Watchers" he said through his sniffles.
"Of course, sorry Griba" she said with a grin, one matched by the one forming on the others lips by the memory of the mispelling of 'Grian' she once did, and now the nickname has stuck. The parrot exaturated a sigh before asking, "When can I see my brother again?"

"Right now if you want to" Pearl offered and Grian smiled with a lump in his throat, "yeah, that would be nice"

A portal opened and the siblings stepped out. As soon as Grian had stepped foot on the soft grass, he was tackled to the ground by another avian, one with beautiful golden wings.
"OMG XEL! I CAN'T BELIEVE IT'S ACTUALLY YOU" he screamed between sobs, tears flowing down his cheeks and Grian instinctively reached out and stroked his hair - as he always did back on Evolution SMP. Slowly but steadily Jimmy ran dry of tears and stopped his happy sobs. Slowly but steadily the two began sharing their stories.

"- the curse never stopped Xelq-" Pearl interrupted Jimmy's storytelling with a cough, "He doesn't like that name anymore" she said as she noticed the grimace on the parrots face.
"But that's his name?" The canary raised his eyebrows at his brother. "It's my middle name, call me Grian - that's my real name"
"Oh, okay Xe- Grian!" He quickly corrected and a soft smile formed on Grian's lips. He has missed the canary - had missed everyone. "The Watcher's curse never stopped, I'm always the unlucky one - on every server." Jimmy groaned and Pearl lightly punched him. "Get over it Jimmy"

The trio laughed before the canary seemed to notice a change on his brother, "since when did you become a parrot?" he asked and Grian averted his eyes, "never" he answered which raised more questions than answers.

"What? But your wings are the ones of a parrot?"
"Yes, I can make them whatever I want" to prove his statement, the colorful wings shifted to yellow - matching the canary's - and then back to parrot-themed.
"WOW! THAT'S SO COOL!!!" The younger exclaimed before his eyebrows furrowed in confusion, "but how is that possible? What did the Watchers - I assume this is their doing - do to you?" he asked, voice laced with worry as Grian gave a heavy sigh. "They didn't kill me because they thought I would be more useful as one of them" his wings faded from the colors of a parrot to the colors of a galaxy. Jimmy flinched away from the hermit out of instinct when he saw the wings clearly belonging to a Watcher. Regret shining in his eyes as he heard an apology forming under the Watchers breath.
"No, I'm sorry Grian, I shouldn't have flinched away. I know you're nothing like them!" The canary apologized and the hermit smiled, opening his arms to offer a hug. "Brother?" He asked and yet again the younger was in his brothers arms, whispering a "brother" back.
