After Xisuma had shared his relegion where he worshipped a Watcher by the name of Xelqua, the rest of the hermits were quick to learn more and soon enough they all started worshipping him, some asking for favors, some just joining as to not feel left out.
Then Grian joined.

When Grian joined Hermitcraft, he thought it would be the last he heard of the Watchers, longing to finally be free from their torment, but he was mistaken. Hermitcraft happened to be a place for all kinds of people, each with a past as colorful as the parrots wings, a place for people who had fled their past, seeking a safe space and a family, this was exactly what Grian needed as well, it was just unfortunate that the hermits had come to see Xelqua as a God of freedom. Grian just so happened to join a server full of people devoted to him. Maybe it was fate, getting a last laugh at him. Nevertheless, he stayed, wether it was a sense of security he hadn't felt in a while or an obligation to protect the people praying to him, he didn't know, but he soon came to love the chaos.

One day, Xisuma approached him. "Hey, Grian, you know we worship a deity right? His name is Xelqua and if you're interested I could teach you more" he offered but Grian waved his hand dismissively, "No thanks, I'm not one for authorities and I don't want to pray to a creature like the Watchers" a bit harsh, but he really didn't need his admin to press on about his Watcher-self.
"You should still respect him, he is a powerful being" X states, "I respect those who have earned my respects, admin, like you" Grian smiled, hoping the admin would leave it at that, X smiled back, "whatever you say G, have a nice day" and then he took off, Grian exhaled reliefed, this was just his luck.

Grian joined in on the casual mayhem on the server, quickly learning everyones interests in Xelqua, and unfortunately their fear-driven respect, everytime he joked around with Xelquas name, people sent him worried looks as if he would die in front of them. He hated it. Hated that he was feared, just like the rest of the Watcher. His small glimse of hope, he had that the hermits would know 'the deity of freedom' was better than the rest of the Watchers,
faded.

In the start, Grian despised the prayers, fueling his Watcher powers and disturbing his thoughts, but they kept coming and he couldn't stop that, so he gained control. He practiced tuning out the prayers, each time it became a little easier to ignore Xisuma asking for protection, Docs groaning about his redstone not working and the hermits in general asking for favors. One day it all just became background noise, and being the target of the servers prayers wasn't such a bad thing as he had previously imagined.

A swoosh of a rocket brought the parrot out of his thoughts, he looked up to see Scar and a smile appeared on his face, Scar was one of his closest friends. He landed - or something closer resembling a crash - beside Grian, who stiffled a laugh.
"Hello Scar, what brings you here?" The parrot asked and Scar lit up.
"Oh yeah! I just started praying to Xelqua-" he started and Grians shoulders visibly dropped, which luckily went unnoticed by the brunette, "- and I just feel much more at peace, maybe it will help you find peace too"
"What makes you think I need peace-" Grian threw his arms out, gesturing at everything around him, "- I have everything I need"
"Grian, I've seen the way you flinch around every little movement people make, you're troubled and maybe religion can help" Scar said, and Grians smile fell, Scar was sometimes too observant for his own good. "Yeah no. I don't care for religion and authorities" the blonde stated and the other shrugged. "You should he is all powerful and could kill you with just a flick of his finger" a tint of fear mixed with amazement appeared in his emerald eyes and the blonde scoffed, "over exaggerated much, huh?" He grins and Scar once again shrugs, "I don't want to judge you Grian, your choice, I just think he is cool!" Scar lit up with excitement and a chuckle escaped Grian.

Scar collected from the harsh tone escaping the blonde, that he wasn't in the mood for conversation, so he decided to leave. "Bye Grian! See you around!" He yelled as he took off with his elytra.

Grian smiled as he watched his friend disappear into the distance. Then a smirk formed, Xisuma had been offering him Watcher lessons to learn about Xelqua, multiple times, and each time the parrot had politely declined, but if the server - and especially Xisuma - was so obsessed with Xelqua, why not give the admin a little visit?

He opened a watcher eye and looked at where Xisuma was, he found him in a forest, alone. "Perfect" he thought to himself and teleported away.

Xisuma was in the forest, farming for birch wood when a purple light shone, he blinked and it was gone, replaced by a figure he reconized immediatly, with fear he fell to his knees.
"Xelua, my lord" he stated and the being smiled.
"You're worshipping me, along with most of your server" the Watcher stated with a grin and gestured for the admin to rise from his knees. "Yes, but everyone treats you with respect, I hope you can see that my lord"
"Hmmm Grian is a very interresting player, he doesn't worship me, maybe I should teach him a lesson?" A mischievous smile formed on the Watchers face, a smile the admin mistook for wicked.

"NO! PLEASE DON'T TOUCH HIM! HE'S MY PLAYER AND MY RESPONSIBILITY! I'LL DO ANYTHING!" He yelled at his god and Grians eyes widened in shock, his admin was willing to face a god in order to protect him, maybe he meant more to the server than he thought.

He held the serious poker face for a few seconds before buckling over, laughing. Xisumas eyes widened in shock.
"HAHAHA! YOUR FACE!" Grian laughed and turned back to his human form, Xisuma now completely frozen in shock.
"Suma, I am a god, I've watched servers rise and fall, do you really think I care if a single player doesn't whorship me? Do you really think I care  if a single player says bad things about me. The rest of the watchers might, but I thought you knew I weren't like them." He held a pause and waited for the admin to answer, he didn't, still frozen in shock, "I hope you realize why I didn't take much interest in Xelqua, I have... trauma, with the Watchers"

As Grian still didn't recieve an answer he waved at his admin. "Goodbye X-eye-suma-void" and then teleported away.

Xisuma fainted.
